MINUTES OF THE MEETING

SSG-COMELEC OFFICERS FIRST MEETING
FEBRUARY 9, 2016
ROOM 505 SSG COMELEC HEADQUARTERS

The first meeting of SSG-COMELEC officers happened on February 9,

2016 at Room 505. The meeting started at exactly 1:00 PM. All of the SSG
COMELEC officers and the SSG COMELEC adviser are present. Originally there
are three agenda for the first official meeting:
a. Brief Orientation about the Standard SSG and SSG-COMELEC
Constitution and By-Laws
b. Evaluation of Certificates of Candidacy (COC)
c. Crafting tentative dates for the activities of the SSG-COMELEC prior
to the election.
Due to incomplete paper requirements by two political parties
interested in the elections, the board decided to talk about agenda a and c
and set another meeting for the evaluation of Certificates of Candidacy
(COCs). A brief orientation about the duties and responsibilities of SSG
COMELEC officers and Board of Election Inspectors (BEIs) had been
conducted by Mr. Menandro Asi, SSG-COMELEC adviser. After that, the SSG
COMELEC officers suggested and approved the following dates for the
activities in the upcoming SSG Election 2016:
February 10 Evaluation of COC and COMELEC Officers 2ND meeting (1
PM, RM 505)
February 16 Announcement of Official Candidates (Flag ceremony,
EQHS quadrangle)
February 16 SSG COMELEC Leadership Lecture-Seminar (for official
candidates)
(12 NN-2 PM, place to be announced by Mr. Menandro N.
Asi SSG COMELEC Leadership Lecture-Seminar Chair)
February 17-18 Campaign Period
February 18 SSG COMELEC Third Officers and First Electors (BEI)

announced by

February 24 SSG Presidential and Vice Presidential Debate (Time and

February 26 SSG Elections 2016 and declaration of winners

The SSG COMELEC officers agreed that the February 26 election is

tentative because of possible change in date once the official memo from the
Schools Division Office of Manila arrives. The SSG COMELEC officers also
agreed to help in all the activities for the SSG Election 2016. The second SSG
COMELEC officers meeting will happen tomorrow, February 10, 2015 at Room
505, 1 PM-2 PM. The meeting was adjourned exactly 2:00 PM.
