The AMF Team: Why Us?

We are an independent team of doctors, plastic and maxillofacial surgeons. Many

people get unsatisfactory or even dangerous treatments / results. There were no
experienced doctors that could provide unbiased advice, not influenced by the
economic interests of performing surgery.
Besides experience, independence is our greatest asset. There are no financial
interests to push you into a certain treatment. We provide you with valuable
information whether you actually seek treatment or not is of course up to you.
Having your face analyzed by our team of doctors, plastic and maxillofacial
surgeon will maximize your probabilities of having the best outcome. Our doctors
will analyze your face trying to make you look like the best version of yourself,
one that is achievable through surgery, that sometimes can be life-changing. This
is why having professional input by doctors, plastic and maxillofacial surgeons is
important the complex nature of the face and its structures takes years of study
and practice.

The AMF Analysis: How We Do It

The high importance of facial attractiveness is timeless and rooted in biology.

There recently has been a widespread interest in the analysis of the face and
beauty scores. Some websites and apps use facial recognition software to do
just that.

However, these programs are limited to detecting the level of overall facial
symmetry from which they then automatically calculate a score. Unfortunately,
their results are far from scientific. Currently, there is no program or computer
that can reliably assess the level of attractiveness.

How can AnalyzeMyFace help you fully understand your aesthetic problems to
reach your objective? We do it differently: A pool of professionals analyze your
pictures to provide you with an initial facial assessment according to specific
parameters (height, width, proportions, direction of facial growth), assessment of
each facial area in detail (eyes, mouth, cartilage), including the means to correct
eventual defects and a conclusive assessment with precise measurements,
indicators and suggested interventions.

We provide different ranges of services in our products, but they always include a
professional facial analysis and visually tangible simulations of possible outcomes.
This is the essence of our work.

Follow these simple steps before sending
your photos
The photographic images you send to us when you book our service are a major
part of our analysis and the results will be ideal if the pictures you send to us are
also in good quality. There are four major factors to consider: camera distance,
camera angle, head position and photo quality.

Camera angle
The camera angle should be as neutral as possible. A shot from below or above
even slightly, can accentuate features of your face. the camera is built and the
lenses size of it.
Head posture
Not only that bad posture can yield to health problems, it can also exaggerate
your worst features. Here we compare the right model, which has good posture,
with the left model, which exhibits some degree of forward head posture.

Photo quality
The resolution and lighting is important for this. Nowadays, almost all
smartphone cameras can shoot pictures with high enough quality, so this is rarely
a problem.
How does it work?
Want to know everything? An in-depth explanation how we analyze faces

Our company is born to provide a detailed facial analysis service from a highly
professional and qualified perspective with the aim to bring your face to express
its maximum aesthetic potential. We provide objective and unbiased information
to enhance facial attractiveness.

What is the difference between AnalyzeMyFace and the personal diagnosis of

doctors or surgeons? We avoid the trap of diagnosis by procedure and look at it
in its entirety. We never focus on a single detail, but provide a thorough and
complete analysis of every aspect. We dont need to sell a surgery.
AnalyzeMyFace stands for independent and objective advice.

How can AnalyzeMyFace help you fully understand your aesthetic problems to

parameters (height, width, proportions, direction of facial growth), assessment of
each facial area in detail (eyes, mouth, cartilage), including the means to correct
eventual defects and a conclusive assessment with precise measurements,
indicators and suggested interventions. We provide different ranges of services,
with increasingly more detailed analysis, though each service is detailed and
accurate and visually tangible as we always provide pictures of possible outcomes
for each procedure.

When you order one of our services, we will request pictures of you under various
angles of view. Pictures can be uploaded immediately or sent to us at a later point
if needed. For us to be able to perform any facial analysis on your face, we require
at least one image of your frontal face as well as of your side profile with
acceptable quality. For more information on requirements, please check our
guidelines for images.

Since our faces are remarkably unique structures, in some specific cases we might
request additional pictures if we feel it is necessary. Analyzing objective facial
landmarks, their intricate relationship between each other and interpreting the
results correctly using our long clinical experience in different medical fields
related to the human face, we detect most medical and aesthetic deformities.
Acceptance is the key, and it needs harmony.

Initial facial assessment

A basic, overall assessment is a vital step in the clinical facial analysis. It takes a
person just milliseconds to assess the overall level of attractiveness of a face at a
first impression. However, the perception of attractiveness or unattractiveness is
mostly an automatic process which does not capture the complexity of the facial
structure. Our team is composed by a pool of experts who can assess specific
parameters at first sight and immediately understand the potential ameliorations
in a clients face.
In this process, the facial regions of interest (ROI) and their relationship to each
other are considered, as well as relative and absolute facial dimensions such as
facial height and facial width. Within the fraction of a second, we are able to fix
two or three regions of interest; a rapid eye movement then connects one to the
next. The most important ROI lies in the eye and in the mouth region, as they are
both highly expressive features, playing a fundamental role in the perception of
facial attractiveness and unattractiveness.

Crucial facial measurements define the relative facial dimensions and the
relationship of regions of interest and facial features between each other. We
calculate and analyze them to classify the observable head and facial growth
pattern and the position of the jaws relative to rest of the face. We also detect
the overall level of symmetry in the face. Furthermore, we observe the quality of
the skin (coloration, irregularities, acne or obvious laxity).

We will notice all aesthetically significant deviations from the standard attractive
face and take it into consideration during the next phase of detailed analysis of
individual parts.

The analysis of the eyes
This part of the facial analysis includes the assessment of eyes, eyebrows,
forehead as well as the immediate surrounding bones that provide vital support
to these structures. This examination is exceptionally important. This area is not
only crucial to facial aesthetics we can also detect aging changes (usually
skeletal or muscular atrophy) much earlier than in most facial regions. This helps
us to develop a plan that is not only focused on immediate aesthetic problems
but also longer-term risk factors.

The eye region includes a lot of unique soft-tissue that is not seen elsewhere in
the body. The skin covering the eyelids is not only the thinnest of the human body
(being around 0.5mm thick), but also one of the most mobile parts, accounting for
many conscious and unconscious expressions as well as lid closure. Delicate
structures like these need an experts evaluation considering all important
factors, with a keen eye on the supportive bone structures that play a vital role in
what is perceived as an attractive eye area.
Describing every relevant measurement would certainly go beyond the scope, but
as an example, we want to illustrate two of the most important measurements.

During the eye analysis, we assess the inclination of the intercanthal axis (picture
1 and 2). It describes the vertical relationship between the corners of the eyes
(lateral and medial canthus). We see that in the attractive female eye area, this
tilt has to be positive, indicating a higher position of the outer corner of the eye
compared to the inner corner of the eye (picture 1). In an attractive male area,
the ideal tilt is slightly lower, with a variance between slightly positive and
neutral. A negative tilt (the outer corner of the eye sits lower than the inner
corner) is an aesthetically undesired feature in both sexes, often indicating poor
muscle tone or weak bone support. Even if this position is anatomically ideal,
conditions like lower eyelid retraction can cause the tilt to be perceived as
negative.

Another particularly interesting feature we observe in patients is the relationship

between the eyeball and the orbital rim in profile view (picture 3 and 4). The
ridge of the upper eye bone should sit 8-10mm in front of the eyeball. An
extremely important parameter to consider is the relationship between the
eyeball and the lower eye bone . It varies widely, and can either be positioned
behind (recession) or in front (protrusion) of the eyeball. Protrusion of this area is
always associated with great eye support and a youthful eye area, whereas
recession is associated with poor eye support, (premature) aging, and
accompanying dentofacial deformities.
The analysis of the mouth

This part of the facial analysis comprises of the assessment of lips, teeth, jaw, chin
and neck.

The examination is equally important. According to some facial aesthetic experts ,

having an attractive mouth area has the biggest correlation to being considered
good-looking than every other feature. The importance of the mouth area comes
not only from the shape and size of the lips and the teeth but also from its
position in the face and there are some limits on how much it can be improved.
Its position is largely determined by the amount of skin and muscle soft-tissue
around it as well as the growth direction and shape of the two jaw bones, the
maxilla and mandible.

One of the most commonly performed procedures in plastic surgery is the

volumization of lips. The injection of hyaluronic acid or other filler material can
plump the lips. However, many cases do not need nor profit from this because
they have an unaesthetic shape, position or upper/lower lip relationship. Some
can only be treated well by surgery on the jaws a comparatively painless
procedure but with a long recovery time.

Highlighting the importance of this area, the positive aesthetic effects of such
surgery can be extreme. We analyze many different facial angles, curves and lines
to determine the presence of either minor aesthetic imbalances or dentofacial
deformities.

The analysis of the cartilage

This part of the facial analysis includes the assessment of the nose and the ears
which are the faces cartilage structures. Being in the center of the face and in
between the two most important regions of interests, the nose plays a significant
role in facial aesthetics although not as big as the eye or mouth region. Small
deviations, sometimes fractions of millimeters, in shape, size or placement of the
nose can greatly change the perception of the face. Therefore, a detailed
examination focused only on the nose (nasal analysis) is required. However,
before a clinical nasal analysis, the mouth and jaw (dentofacial region) need to be
thoroughly evaluated, as they have a great impact on the perception of the nose.
Sometimes, both a nasal and a dentofacial deformity are present and need a
combined approach (picture 1).

The ears play a smaller role in facial aesthetics. Small deviations in shape, size or
placement usually do not make a significant difference. This changes if rare
aesthetic deformities like the excessive protrusion are present. A deformity of the
ears, the facial feature with a minor role, can become the defining (negative)
facial characteristic of that person. For that reason, otoplasties are one of the
most commonly performed plastic surgeries on children and teenagers.

Conclusive facial assessment

In the final part of our written facial analysis, we conclude the first facial
assessment with the information and measurements we obtained from the
detailed analysis of individual facial parts.
We will inform you of all indicators that show an aesthetic deformity, including
the grade of severity.

At the end of our facial analysis, and only after careful consideration, we will tell
you if seeking surgical treatment is recommended to improve your appearance.
We will also give a realistic estimation of the changes and the grade of the
changes that can be expected. A detailed analysis with the indication of specific
procedures and eventual risks or recovery times will be provided.

Simulation
In this section we will provide a frontal face and a side view simulation to the
client. The simulation is based on the complete evaluation of his/her face,
including the detected medical or aesthetic deformities and the possible changes
caused by the combined surgical treatment recommended as based on average
results with little or no postoperative complications done by leading operating
surgeons.

These simulations serve as an approximate visualization depicting an achievable

result. Our service does not create simulations of your ideal face if it is not
feasible or the deviations are not significant enough to justify surgical
intervention.

Our goal is to inform and to help people. As such, in a face that is naturally
beautiful and has no impacting aesthetic deformities, we do not recommend to
pursue any treatment. If no significant changes can be expected through cosmetic
surgery, we do not recommend to pursue any treatment. We also do not let a
patients fixation on a particular facial feature influence our facial examination.

Our facial analysis service is a great tool for all people seriously considering
cosmetic surgery or other treatments. However, it must be noted that we are
limited by the techniques available and research in medical science. Although a
lot is possible today, many things are not and we consider the achievability of our
suggestions the foundation of our work.
