INSTRUCTIONS:
Students are required to perform a research on an assigned topic
given.
Students have to obtain an understanding and ability to explain
the associates system for the particular aircraft.
Student obviously has to perform an explanation on the particular
aircraft hydraulic system schematic diagram (its a must!). ( For
example: From where does the fluid come (system A, B or?) and
through what hydraulic components
For example:
1. What types of hydraulic fluid being used?(For example: MIL-H-
8466)
2. How many hydraulic system associates with the particular
aircraft?( For example: System A, System B and Standby System)
3. On each system, what operation or sub-system powered?( For
example: System A generally for the operation of Landing Gear,
Aux Flight control, Thrust reverser, and Speed brakes)
4. How does the hydraulic system for that particular aircraft
apprehend or handle in case of failure?( For example: System
Standby will acts as a back-up system in case of failure)
5. What components incorporate through out the hydraulic system?
6. How does hydraulic servicing on the particular aircraft being
perform? ( For example: I.A.W Aircraft maintenance manuals)

Student may used all necessary information such as Aircraft

Maintenance Manuals, Text Book, reference from the World Wide
Web(www), AC 43.13, information video or other type of reference.
Any difficulties may be reference to lecturer/instructor or
technician associates.
It is advisable that student begin the information gathering as
soon as the topic are assigned (time is GOLD).
Fail to complete the presentation assignment is under students
responsibility which will effects the FINAL GRADE.

hydraulic system.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Students are required to perform a research on an assigned topic

Students have to obtain an understanding and ability to explain
the main and auxiliary function of the components.
Student obviously has to perform an explanation on the particular
aircraft hydraulic components using a diagram/visual (its a
must!). (For example: How does the component actuates?)
For example:
1. What types of components is it? (For example: Hydraulic or
pneumatic)
2. What function does the component serve (For example:
Maintaining rapid surge force or fluctuation of pressure in case or
excessive leakage).
3. What other components associates at the same time to
aid/support the function? (For example: Filter and bypass valve
associates together to provide clean hydraulic fluid and pop-out
in case of filter clogged as an visual indication).
4. In case of discrepancies on the components, what other
components supports it and what is the indication/defects that
affects the system? (For example: Found that the reservoir had an
excessive leak and low fluid is identified, a stand pipe is an aid to
be perform manually as an emergency back up system)
5. How does the maintenance on the components is being rectified?
(For example: I.A.W maintenance manuals (please explain).
