• Involved in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design


program which is an environmental rating and certification system for
residential and commercial buildings from the U.S. Green Building Council
(www.usgbc.org). LEED provides benchmarks for the design, construction and
operation of a property and covers site makeup, building materials, water
and energy efficiency as well as indoor environmental quality.
• Began working with variable feed drives that were new to the
industry. It entailed replacing primarily water loop pump motors to DC
motors and regulating the speed of usage on demand through an electronic
control station. The savings were great, but again ahead of the time and
most companies would not buy into it, until the government came out with
their Green programs to help offset the cost. Consulted with several
companies regarding the strategies and development of a more
efficient building.
• Executive leader with 30 years experience in planning and directing Projects
and Operations. Management involvement in leading operations of multi-
million dollar projects and attaining gross margins up to 58%.
• Managed multimillion dollar project to its completion when a major
hurricane destroyed the project, leaving us to virtually start over.
Immediately set up meetings with all General Contractors and Insurance
Providers to come up with a viable solution without wasting time or missing a
step. The project was completed ahead of schedule, increasing the gross
profit from 14% to 55% based on $12 million dollars.
