Comments: Andrea, you did a great job of stating the thesis, organizing your paragraphs, and
creating a cohesive flow to your ideas. In the intro, you shouldnt give away too many details
(like a movie trailor), so save some of the important details like the fonts styles for the body of
the essay. I think these details about the mural need to be discussed at greater lengths. How does
the font, for example, relate to the overall meaning of the mural? Also, you could discuss how
Che pointing at the audience mimics the old Uncle Sam army posters; this seems like an
intentional parallel that ought to be explained. The last body paragraph does not seem that
necessary in terms of proving your argument. Rather, spend more time discussing the mural
itself. Be sure to cite your sources, even if you are paraphrasing. You need to work on your MLA
citations, especially the works cited page.
