Opening Statement

Country: Germany
Committee: 3

Thank you Honorable Chair. Greetings Delegates, Germany is present as a concerned

country for the whole nation. Germany practiced historical civil offences of discrimination and
annihilation due to ethnicity, religion, political beliefs, race, or sexual orientation. Due to past
decisions it is our obligation and duty to help those suffering from civil and inhumane offences
and discrimination. Our country is a place where six out of ten refugees chose to travel to. Gaps
of unemployment is filled by half the million willing to work. In the past year around 40,000
refugees found jobs in Germany. We continue providing German language classes, housing,
assistance, welfare, and government budgets are faced with 37 billion euros in additional cost.
There have been 120 cases filled of assaults of women from foreign nationals and 90% of cases
are unlikely to be reported. Our decisions are limited and could cost many lives of the current 11
million refugees fleeing Syria. Actions that countries have done has caused people to flee or die.
We as a national union are critical for solving this national crisis. Countries are accepting
different numbers of refugees causing others to balance an even heavier burden and
responsibility. In order to weaken the resources terrorist and governing countries who harm their
own citizens for control is to cut ties, trades, and alliances that fund their weapons and power
they weld. We as a nation are separated into picking sides and befriending others. This is the first
step into stopping the core problem of terrorism and another baby step to helping millions in
need.
