ST 37 Steel Application

St37-2 steel plate is one mainly of Carbon structural steel, St37-2 is a type of steel
sheet under DIN standard which is used to build ship, bridge, belongs to high
strength sheet. St37-2 is equivalent to EN:S235JR,JIS:SS400,ASTM:A283C and
UNI:FE360B. St37-2 steel is Non-alloy steel. ST37-2 steels Mechanical
properties is Yield strength more than 235 MPa, tensile strength 360-510 Mpa.
ST37-2 steel is mainly used for riveting, bolting, welding purposes. Structural
Steels like ST37-2 is used in many applications, combining good welding
properties with guaranteed strengths. There are many grades and the uses varied
including civil and industrial engineering. High strength low alloys have replaced
many structural steels where weight reduction is important (e.g. automotive) but

are applies to steel sections (including wide flange beams), steel bars, wire rod,
flat products(strip, plate, wide flats) seamless and welded, square and rectangular
hollow sections, forgings and semi-finished products in the general structural
steels. Products from steels according to DIN17100 are for use in welded, riveted
and screwed structural components, They are not intended for heat treatment -
apart from stress-reliening heat treatment and normalizing.
