Safe Production Plan


Freeport-McMoRan New Mexico Operations are committed to safe production in every
aspect of our business. We will strive to continually improve our Health and Safety system,
methods, and performance. All employees, contractors, and visitors are expected to follow
the companys health and safety procedures and will be held accountable if they do not
meet these expectations.
These expectations will be measured against the following targets:

Goal 1: Keeping Fatality Prevention Alive

Refresh Fatality Prevention Total number of modules reviewed in a quarter.
Modules
Critical Control Improvement Team Create and utilize CCI teams for the major production and support
divisions.
Goal 2: Risk Reduction

Complete Gap Analysis of GSRs All divisions/departments will review GSRs and perform gap analysis
activities

Site Safety Committee Site will establish and sustain a safety steering team / committee that will
be tasked with various functions
Goal 3: Employee Safety Auditing

Action Plan Benchmark


Each division/department will establish audit teams to perform
Employee Safety Audit Teams inspections of their areas. Audits will include work area
exam/preoperational check effectiveness.
Goal 4: Training and Safety Process Improvement

Workplace Exam Training Each division/department will develop and implement workplace exam
training for employees.
SOP Reviews Each division/department will develop an employee based team to
perform SOP reviews
