1. Hands: This photo shows diversity and the community of Welcoming Week. Considering

Welcoming Week wants to include as many foreign-born citizens of the Fargo-Moorhead

community, they should ensure that their visuals represent the diverse population that

theyre targeting with their advertisements.

2. Team: Welcoming Week is meant to introduce refugees and immigrants to the Fargo-

Moorhead area. The visual of a team environment with everyone participating in a circle

represents the Fargo-Moorhead Welcoming Week as a team effort and the entire

community as a sort of family/team.

3. Seal: The seal of North Dakota definitely needs to be a part of their advertising as they try

to get natives of the Fargo-Moorhead community to volunteer and participate in

Welcoming Week events.

4. Minnesota Seal: The Minnesota seal should be included in advertising for the Welcoming

Week Fargo-Moorhead area slogan. Moorhead is a part of the Minnesota community and

it would be good to represent both states while advertising. It would also encourage

Moorhead residents to participate in events they may not have otherwise.

5. Circle: The circle of diverse hands shows the melding of cultures into one large

community, which is the goal of Welcoming Week.

6. ISO: Welcoming Week Fargo-Moorhead intends to draw large, diverse crowds to their

events. This is an example of a large, diverse crowd.

7. Pexels: LOVE is held against a brick background that highlights the diverse backgrounds

of the people in the photo. Loving one another is a mission that Welcoming Week wants

to promote to those of different backgrounds.

8. Hand: Multiracial hands holding one anothers wrists helps show a strong international

community and could represent the necessity of cooperation and understanding between

those with different background to strengthen the community.

9. Art: This representation of the different international flags in human forms shows the sort

of inclusion that Welcoming Week is looking for. People from any country and any race

are welcome and encouraged to participate. Representation of peoples countries could

invite more people to show up.

10. Hand Refugee: The picture has the word Refugees on it, which is an important part of

Welcoming Week, especially in the Fargo-Moorhead area. Fargo is the largest

resettlement area in North Dakota. Showing an image attached with refugees may make

refugees more inclined to participate in Welcoming Week events. Part of the purpose of

Welcoming Week is to welcome new refugees to the community, so it would be a good

idea to represent refugees somehow.

11. Refugee: The image of a refugee shaking hands with a Caucasian man shows the

welcoming of the community to refugees as well as other foreign-born immigrants.

12. Statue: The Statue of Liberty is often cited as a beacon to foreign-born immigrants.

Welcoming Week is meant to welcome foreign immigrants to the US and strengthen the

bonds of the communities they live in. The welcoming image of the Statue of Liberty

would be a nice way to show the purpose of Welcoming Week even without words.
