ReflectingonTeaching(4a):Completepriortopost-observationmeeting
1. In general, how successful was the lesson? Did the students learn what you intended for them to learn? How do you know?
The lesson went well once I got started. I had to redo how I was originally going to prepare everything because I had made the ice cream
mixtures at home and was going have them all prepared already but it ended up leaking so I had to replan and mix it all at school but the
lesson ended up going good for the most part.

2. On what components of the Evaluation Document she would you most like to reflect?
2A: Creating an Environment of Respect and Rapport
2C: Managing Classroom Procedures
2D: Managing Student Behavior
3A: Communicating with Students
3B: Using Questioning and Discussion techniques
3C: Engaging Students in Learning
3E: Demonstrating Flexibility and Responsiveness

Choose 1 strength from above and explain:

I found myself using questions and discussion techniques a lot more during this lesson than I usually do. I was asking them what they thought
would happen to the liquid and why that would happen along with other questions.

Choose 1 to work on from above and explain:

Specifically during this lesson I struggled with communicating with the students. One of the helpers would start conversations separate to what
the lessons were about which made the kids uninterested in the lesson and I had a hard time controlling that.

3. If you had a chance to teach this lesson again to the same group of students, what would you do differently?

I would find a way to make the lesson last longer.

4. What are your goals for your next teaching lesson?

Make the lesson as hands on as possible and intriguing to the kids.
