Unit 3 Project

1. Look back to your notes we took about triads. Step one of this project is going to be taking a
scale that isnt C-major and writing it out, then building all of the triads above it. Dont forget
to write the key signature next to the treble clef! Take a look at my example for help.
2. Write the corresponding roman numerals underneath each chord. You should have all of
these written down underneath the example you did for me the day we took notes in class. If
you are stuck, work with a partner or see my example as a reference. (Sound familiar yet?)
3. Create a chord progression! Take anywhere from 5 to 8 of the roman numerals and put them
together to create a chord progression. (Again, if you are stuck, see my example for
reference). Have it begin and end on the I chord, just like my example does, and again, be
sure to have the staff begin with a treble clef and then the appropriate key signature that you
chose back in step 1.
4. Thats it! Turn it in to either the study hall proctor or my mailbox and enjoy the rest of your
Friday.
