Participants: Intermediate English learners

Course Description: In this course, you will learn communication


and writing skills. Class discussion, group work, writing practice,
reading practice, role-play, and vocabulary games will be embedded
in the class. The course will concentrate on three major themes:
health, jobs, and childrens education. There will be no final
test/credit for this course.
Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of
this class, you will be able to:
1. Identify an authors point
of view and main argument.
2. Plan, organize, write, and
revise writings.

3. Develop creative and critical thinking through reading,


writing, and class discussion.
4. Be able to communicate in meaningful contexts such as
hospital, job interview, and childrens school.
5. Apply new knowledge (grammar, vocabulary, etc.) in
meaningful circumstances.
6. Develop individual learning styles and preferences.
7. Become an independent learner and be ready to become
a life-long learner.

Course Materials
*There is no required textbook in this class.

Required Materials: Notebook, Folder, Pencil, Pen,


Highlighter, and Paper or Electronic Dictionary. *If you
do not have these materials, please let me know and I
will provide them for you.
