Overall aim and context of the lesson

The aim of the lesson is understand how to use commas and the quotation
marks in the sentence.
This is the outcome but the focus on the commas and quotation marks.
4WC2 use periods, question marks, exclamation marks,(commas),
apostrophes and (quotation marks ).

Choose two aspects from the competency areas to evaluate and discuss
(one paragraph each) according to following:

1. discuss one aspect that you feel you did very well. Try to
analyse why you think it worked well and what hints you would
share with other teachers about the successful strategy/
resource/activity/management style etc.

Positive aspect of the lesson:

I focused in students' behavior and I managed their misbehavior during


the lesson by remembering them about the rule which is (raise your
hand). In the beginning of the lesson I show to them the rule visually to
remind them. They raised their hands before they speak or if want to go
to bathroom or if they have question or of they need help.
Also, I linked two books they already know it with the lesson which is
about commas and quotation marks to make sure they will analyse more
about these two punctuations marks.
In addition, I engaged the students to participate with me when I asked
them to point the commas and the quotation marks from the two books
which is I displayed them in the board.
In the closing of the lesson I think I did it well because when I gave them
the assessments I checked and go around them to see their mistakes.
Then I show the whole class what they should do for example when they
write quotation marks they should write them at the top and they should
be two by two in the beginning and the closing for someone speech.

2. elaborate on the aspect identified by you that requires attention.


Discuss what the problem was, why it occurred and what action you
intend to take to be more successful in the next lesson.

Requires Attention:

I stood in place that some students can't see what I am doing but they
tried to participate with me when I have question and I turned around to
them and see them. However, in the next lesson I should to stand in an
appropriate place that each student can see me and recognize what I am
doing or what I mean when I write something on the board.

I finished before the class ends but I deal with it by asking the students to
discuss in pairs about their answers in the assessment. I would like to
manage my time in next class and don't take a long or a short time for the
activities.

3. outline the personal focus and goal of the next lesson.

Personal focus for the next lesson:

- Time management
- Stand in a suitable place to let the students participate with me.
- Demonstrate the assessment to all students and do it to recognize
them about their mistakes.
