Spooky2 Glossary
Waveform.
A waveform is simply a graphical plot of amplitude or relative amount
of energy, (voltage in this case), over time. The amplitude is typically
displayed on the vertical scale, and time displayed on the horizontal
scale. Although most fellow Rifers know that we work primarily
with square wave signals, we have found most non-technical persons
do not understand why a square wave is used, what it looks like, or the
importance of the characteristics of the waveform itself. A pictorial
comparison with other waveform's and characteristics may assist the
novice better understand the relationships and attributes.
Sine wave.
A sine wave does not contain significant harmonics.
Square wave.
What should be noted here is the exceptionally fast rise time and
fall time, (also known as decay). Rise time is the front edge for the
square wave. The fall time is the trailing edge of the waveform. In a
theoretical world, the rise and fall times would be 0, or instantaneous.
The square waveform is chosen above all other waveform's because of
this characteristic. It is believed that most pathogens mutate and

eventually become used-to or immune to waveforms of slow rise time
or decay. Square wave, having sharp rise and decay, is believed to be
more effective and hard for microorganisms to adapt to. Thus, square
wave is for killing pathogens and sine wave is used for regeneration
and healing.
Triangle Wave.
The triangle wave contains some harmonics, the majority of which are
clustered close to the fundamental frequency. Almost all of the waves
power is within this close cluster.
Carrier waves.
The carrier (Radio frequency) is used to carry the audio frequencies
(our healing frequencies) to the target causing them to penetrate
deeper and farther. RF (radio frequencies) above about 200,000 Hertz
broadcast very well which is why they are called radio frequencies.
Frequencies between
20,000 and 200,000 Hz broadcast to some degree, while frequencies
below 20,000 Hz do not broadcast at all.

Harmonics.
A harmonic of a wave is a component frequency of the signal that is an
integer multiple of the fundamental (main) frequency. Different waves
use different multiples. Square waves use odd integer multiples, i.e, the
harmonic frequencies will be 3f, 5f, 7f, . . . etc. For example, if the
fundamental frequency (first harmonic) of a square wave is 100 Hz, the
frequencies of the next harmonics are: 300 Hz (1st harmonic), 500 Hz
(2nd harmonic), 700 Hz (3rd harmonic), etc.
Frequency.
This is the number of times a waveform pattern repeats per second.
The units of measurement are in cycles per second or Hertz.
Amplitude.
Amplitude is the total height of the wave being measured from the top
peak to the neutral or zero. Here, we measure amplitude in Volts,
which describes the potential or electrical tension between the peak
and zero. Amplitude as well as frequency applies to all the waves we
are dealing with. Alternating current (AC) represented by sine wave is
changing amplitude and direction (from negative to positive) every
half a cycle.

Resonance.
When one object is vibrating at the same natural resonant frequency of
a second object ,it forces that second object into vibrational motion. If
there are two similar objects, and one of them is vibrating, the other
will begin to vibrate as well, even if they are not touching. A good
example is two identical tuning forks. If you tap one of these forks, the
vibrations of that fork will pass through the air and cause the other
tuning fork to vibrate. The energy from the first tuning fork has been
transferred to the second tuning fork.
Duty cycle.
Duty cycle is how long the wave is on and off when running a
frequency. A 50% duty cycle means that the wave is on 50 % and off
50% of each cycle. Some rifers believe that to achieve the highest
success rate, odd harmonics should be generated with a particular duty
cyclethe ratio or relationship (expressed as a percentage) of the
amount of time an individual cycle or phase is on to the amount of
time it is off.
Offset.
This is the imbalance between positive and negative peaks in reference
to neutral or zero. Offsetting the signal from zero (neutral) means

moving the waveform into the positive or negative region. You can
visualize this by imagining horizontal X and vertical Y axis with sine
wave crossing X. If both peaks are in equal distance (magnitude) from
the X axis, then offset is zero. If we apply a positive DC offset to a sine
wave, the wave will shift upwards - refer to the picture below. Offset
can have either positive or negative value.
Gating.
Gating simply turns the Output frequency signal On and Off for preset
durations, which is adjustable in the Spooky2 settings. One example
would be 4Hz for Gate which is the Default setting. The Speed of the
Gate is 1/2 the "Refresh Rate" which is adjustable in the Spooky2
program and that setting is found within the "Advanced" window,
therefore the number "8" would be the number entered in the Refresh
Rate setting to end up with a 4Hz Gate. Some feel pathogens can
become too accustomed to frequencies and then adapt in ways to
overcome the signal. With the Gate pulsing On and Off, the theory is
that varying the signal prevents that from happening.
Dwell.
Dwell describes the duration of each frequency. If you press the horn in
your car for 2 minutes, the dwell will be 120 (120 sec). Short honk, such
as 0.5sec will mean dwell 0.5. Now, if our program has multiple
frequencies in it, each of them will be generated according to our dwell
setting.
Sweep.
Sweep can be compared to the windshield wipers in your car. They
start from one position and move to the other. Both points can be
referred to as starting and ending frequencies. There is one more
variable here which determines how slow or fast such sweep goes as it
moves in steps. Theses steps are increments by which sweep
progresses. If this increment is set for 1Hz, then sweep will continue in
1Hz steps, eg. 293-293-294 and so on.
Converge.
The Converge program utilises both generator outputs to produce 2
simultaneous frequency sweeps that run in opposite directions.

MORs (Mortal Oscillatory Rates).
The frequency (rate) at which a particular pathogen or target is
resonant to the point of devitalization, destruction, or is desirably
stimulated to bring about an overall beneficial effect.
Herxheimer reaction.
A Rife machine will have no side effects, but may create a Healing
Crisis, otherwise known as a Herxheimer reaction, a detoxification
response. Excessively large amounts of microbial waste hinder the
bodys ability to adequately eliminate it through the usual channels
(breakdown by the liver, through the colon or urinary tract). So instead,
the toxic material is discharged through the lungs, sinuses and skin.
Symptoms can include a flu-like condition; heavy perspiration and
night sweats; fever, with or without chills; headaches; malaise; diarrhea,
nausea and vomiting; pain in joints and bones; and itching, flushing,
and red areas of skin.
Rife Plasma (bulb output) device.
A plasma device is using a tube (bulb), which works as an antenna, to
transmit the frequencies using both the electromagnetic energy and
photons in order to cause resonance or vibration of one of the
components of a targeted pathogen to bring about devitalization.

Rife Contact device.
These physically connect to the body. Electric current is transferred into
the body, to cause vibration and resonance. These devices generally
transfer their energy through the skin and may have some limitations
as regards full body penetration. Since the body is a semiconductor
with approximately 1 million ohms of resistance, penetration of contact
energy is somewhat limited. Do not use a contact device if you are
wearing a pacemaker or have a heart condition.

Spooky2 Software Setup
Question: Can I use Windows 8?
Spooky2 will run on all recent versions of Windows. The original
software (Spooky 1.24a) ran on Windows 7 and Windows XP. The UDB
drivers dont work with Windows 8. Either use Windows 7/XP or
upgrade your generator(s) to Spooky2XM models. To make Windows
8 behave and appear more like Windows 7, download and install the
Free Classic Shell program.
Question: I don't own a Windows PC. Can I use my Apple Mac?
In theory, yes, you can by using BootCamp to create a Windows
partition, or purchasing virtualization software. In practice, however,
we've found that the more layers of abstraction you add to any system,
the more likely it is that problems will arise. And unless you're a
seasoned Mac and Windows troubleshooter, you may find that
tracking causes and finding solutions is more trouble than it's worth.
We recommend that you buy a cheap Windows netbook or used
desktop model, and dedicate it to running your Spooky2 system.
Question: Spooky2 software installation.
Download Spooky2 software from here:
http://www.spooky2.com/downloadsPage/index.html Unzip the file

and double-click on it. The installation will start. In the process, you
will be asked you to choose a language The license agreement and
several other questions will also be asked. The installation procedure
will also install drivers for the USB controller. When complete,
Spooky2 will start and you will see the Beginner screen. If the
installation is an upgrade, be careful to cancel the installation of drivers
during the install. The Spooky2 installation will still continue.
Question: Frequency generator connection to PC.
Connect the UD-B to PC using the supplied USB cable. The generator
does not require a power supply. The XM generators are connected the
same way. Connect one end of the USB cable to your PC and the other
to the generator. The XM requires an external 5v power supply
(included in each generator purchase). Plug this power supply to a
power outlet and the other end into the connector labeled "DC5V" on
the generator. Ensure the power switch on the generator is "ON".
Question: Starting Spooky2
Make sure every connected generator is connected to the PC and the
power switch is ON. (The LCD panel will be lit). Next, start Spooky2
software. Spooky2 will search for any generators connected to the PC.
Once all the generators have been detected, the Spooky2 main screen
will appear. A control button on the lower portion of the screen will
represent each generator found.
Expert mode
Enabling Expert Mode makes Spooky2 more flexible and powerful.
Custom programs and Spectrum Sweeps can be created, and advanced
Program Options are enabled. Use Expert Mode after you have become
fully accustomed with the Beginner Mode.
Beginner mode
First, choose the interface language, then enter the condition/pathogen
you want to experiment with in the Search Box (left) and the results
will appear in the Conditions List box. Double click the frequency sets
you want to load into your Program and youll see that each one is
added to your Selections Box. If you change your mind or make a
mistake, double click the set in the white Selections Box to remove it, or
click the Button at the top right to remove all the sets youve loaded.
Next click a red Channel Button to load the Program into that channel.
A red Channel Control Panel will open. Click the Start Button the
Channel Control Panel and its associated Channel Button will turn
green. Now youre rifing!

Spooky2 Settings
Question: Having to search for and reload all my frequency sets every time
I turn Spooky2 on is painful. Is there an easier way?
Spooky2 remembers all your settings and the frequencies that you used
the last time you ran it. So theres no need to search and reload
simply click the red Channel button and youll see all your previous
sets in the Channel Control Panel.
Question: Why cant I change my Repeat settings in Spooky2? Each time I
enter the numbers I want, they change back to what they were.
Settings cant be altered in Spooky2 if the coloured Channel Control
Panel is open, or if a program is actually running. You should always
enter the settings you desire before clicking the red button to open the
Channel Control Panel.
Question: Isnt an AC calibration setting of two volts very low for a Rife
machine?
No. You can even go lower if you wish and it will still work. However,
two volts was found to be the optimum power setting during Spookys
original development phase it provides effective results without

provoking a Herxheimer reaction in the subject. Spooky Remotes were
designed for 4 volt operation, and the new v1.1 remotes can operate
safely at 20 volts without a Herxheimer reaction.
Question: Is there a limit to the amount of scalar power a person's DNA can
handle without being damaged? If the scalar waves become as powerful as
John suggests, is there a risk of harming your DNA which has to act as a
receiver and transmitter of these waves? Is there a limit to the voltage that
can be safely applied?
Applying 20 volts to a Spooky Remote will present no adverse effects.
The scalar wave production is more efficient but the strength of the
changing magnetic field is still low. We are unsure of the maximum
voltage that can be safely applied, but do not recommend a voltage
greater than 20 volts for everyday use.
Question: Does inverted sawtooth have similar harmonics as square waves?
And why have I read somewhere on the forum that with inverted sawtooth
the Duty Cycle must be set at 49%?
Inverted sawtooth waves use every harmonic (refer to "Harmonics" in
the Glossary) but square waves only use odd harmonics. The duty
cycle setting is only necessary for the older UDB generator and is set
automatically by Spooky.
Question: What is a Phase Angle and how can it be used in treatment
(healing, detox, pathogens)?
The phase angle is the angular difference between the signals of the
outputs of the generator. The function is used mainly used to produce
a special signal pattern from the outputs when they are running the
same frequency, and can be set to zero for almost all applications.
Question: Why cant we see the graphics change when altering the Duty
Cycle?
Only square waves can have a duty cycle other than 50%. This is a law
of physics, not a Spooky constraint. The duty cycle is shown in the
waveform graphics for square waves.
Question: What is the difference between a Spooky Spectrum Sweep and a
Spooky Convergence Sweep? What do they each do for different
pathogens?
A Spectrum Sweep outputs multiple simultaneous frequencies. The
Spooky Converge Sweep combines 2 simultaneous Spectrum Sweeps,
both sweeping in opposite directions. Converge Sweeps prevent
pathogens from becoming accustomed to a generic frequency sweep by
attacking the pathogen from both sides.

Question: How do you determine that changing the duty cycle from the
standard 50% to say 93% would be beneficial.
Changing the duty cycle alters the harmonics that are created by the
generator. A duty cycle of 93% will reduce the power of many
harmonics. As with any leading-edge system, it is best to experiment
and compare your results with other users to determine the optimum
duty cycle.
Question: I also want to set up a Spooky2 Lab with about 100 generators for
remote transmission of healing. Can you advise me on what I need to do
this?
We suggest you purchase 11 USB hubs of a similar type that the one
here. The first one will feed the other 10. This will provide 100 USB
ports with which to control the generators.
The generators are best run on their side if there are multiple units. It is
easier to read the displays and connect the Spooky Remotes. Allow a
bit of space around the generators for cooling and access to the output
ports.
Keep the USB and power cables behind the generators. This keeps
everything nice and tidy.

Spooky2 Generators (Spooky2-xm and
UDB1108S)
Question: Which one to choose between Spooky2-xm generator and
UDB1108S:
The original Spooky software was designed to drive the UDB1108S
frequency generator a fine little 8MHz machine, despite one or two
minor niggles.Since Spooky was released, the team have been in
constant contact with its manufacturers with design input for their next
frequency generator.The result is the vastly superior Spooky2XM
Generator range. Offering the ability to create brand new waves in
software, as well as a host of other highly desirable goodies, it comes in
three configurations 5MHz, 10MHz, and 20MHz.
For use solely with Spooky2, the Spooky25M is the model to go for.
The new Spooky2 software drives the XMs and the UDBs, but some of
the important new features are only enabled if youre working with the
Spooky2XM generators.
The choice is yours.
Question: How should I set the controls on the frequency generators?
Spooky2 has been designed for complete software control of both
models of the frequency generator. On the UDB1108S, the only
physical controls you ever need to touch are the power button, the
-32dB button (this should always be disengaged), and the Amplitude
and Offset knobs (while calibrating). Otherwise, hands off, please!
Question: Can I use Spooky2 to program Out1 and Out2 on my XM
generator independently?
No.
Question: I notice that the UDB1108S has an upper frequency limit of
8MHz. Is this range big enough?
There are no original Rife frequencies over 4MHz. Approximate ranges
are: moulds and mycotoxins 75215KHz; bacteria and most viruses
275450KHz; protozoa, roundworm, and flatworm 325480KHz; warts
400475KHz; tapeworms 425515KHz, and mites 675-880KHz. There
are only a very few viruses mostly flu which exist up around the
3KHz-plus range. So 8MHz is fine.
However, our new research on converting light wavelengths to
frequencies is now yielding excellent results. The most powerful
subharmonics of such frequencies are very high, but can be transposed
down for use in the UDB1108S. However, the new Spooky2XM
generator can use the revolutionary new software algorithms built into
Spooky2 to boost the top limit to 25MHz.

Question: My UDB1108S came with a two-pin power plug. What do I use
this for?
This plug is included for standalone use of the USB1108S in laboratory
and engineering scenarios. Its not needed for use with Spooky2
because your PC supplies power to the generator through the USB
cable. Dont discard it it may come in handy for something else.

Spooky2 Remote
Question: If DNA is left in Remote in proximity of magnet, but without
running frequencies, will the magnet still influence that person's body
through the DNA? I.e. should one remove the DNA asap?
This is open for debate, as only changing magnetic fields seem to have
biological effect. The magnetic gradient across a DNA sample is
negligible. Fixed fields do have an effect, but this is not as great.
Question: Ive noticed that one of the LEDs on my Spooky Remote
sometimes seems brighter than the other. Is there something wrong?
Dont worry theres nothing broken. The Spooky Remote LEDs
respond to and mirror exactly the shape of the waveform youre
transmitting. Normally, all waveforms have two phases a positive one,
and a negative one. If you look at any wave, youll see that it rises, and
it falls. When its rising, its going positive, and when its falling, its
going negative. During the positive-going phase, only the left LED
lights, and during the negative-going phase, only the right one
illuminates.
If you examine the shape of either of the sawtooth waveforms, youll
find that one of its phases is a long slow rise or fall, while the other is
an almost instantaneous rise or drop. Since the LEDs reflect the shape
of the waveform, the result is that one of them will appear to be
dimmer than the other any time youre using a sawtooth waveform.
Question: I can't figure out these Spooky Remote LEDs. Sometimes they
both look equally bright, and other times they blink very slowly, first one
side and then the other. Ive even noticed that they also fail to light up at all
sometimes. This is very confusing. Whats going on?
The Spooky Remote LEDs' state is governed by two things the waves
shape, and the speed of the frequency. What youre seeing is how the
frequencies control the LEDs. The first thing to understand is that the
twin LEDs are never both lit at the same time, despite what your eyes
tell you. Every waveform has a positive and a negative phase, and each
phase lights one LED. Since a wave can never be positive and negative
at the same time, the LEDs can never both be lit at the same time.
With a low slow frequency like 0.5Hz, the waves polarity flips from
positive to negative once every two seconds, so the LEDs will light
alternately and slowly. With a frequency of 60,000Hz, the polarity flip
happens 60,000 times every second, far too fast for your eyes to register.
So both LEDs now appear to be equally bright.
With a very high frequency like 7MHz, the state is flipping seven

million times a second. And this is simply too fast to allow either LED
to even respond to the on command before the next off command
is received. So the LEDs appear to be unlit. But theyll return to normal
with the next mid-range frequency.
Question: With the 1.1 remote (with magnet), what are recommended
settings for healing frequencies (e.g. Solfeggio, Nogier, Chakra, Liver,
Kidney)?
Square waves for most program sets.
Question: With the 1.1 remote (with magnet), what are recommended
settings for detox frequencies?
Same. No Spectrum or frequency multiplier.
Question: Can the 1.1 remote be run with a lower amplitude than 20V and
still be effective? What is the effect on scalar wave transmission if run at 5V
for example.
Yes, but it all depends on the other settings. Spectrum requires greater
amplitude because the power is shared across multiple frequencies.

Question: Spooky Sweep Settings with the 1.1 remote: should Offset be
100% or does it not matter? Can Duty Cycle be 93% (as is suggested to be a
good Cycle for killing pathogens)?
Using an offset reduces the amplitude. A 93% duty cycle is not a good
duty cycle for killing pathogens while using a sub harmonic
frequency.
Question: Since remote v 1.1 is more effective than other remotes, what
dwell time should we use? How about the repeats, should it be shorter?
I recommend a dwell of 3 minutes for most frequencies and program
repeats of 4.

Spooky2 Rife
Question: In our house, we all seem to get colds and flu at the same time. Is
it possible to use these systems with everyone at once? Or do we all have to
take turns?
As long as everyone has the same problem, up to 20 different DNA
samples can be inserted in a DNA Holder. But cut each fingernail in
three and only use one part for each subject. Wrap each part separately
in paper masking tape, write each subjects initials on them, and insert
them carefully between the two metal or foil strips. Then place the
frequency generator (or a book/glass ashtray) on top of the DNA
Holder to provide a weight so that the two strips are pushed as close
together as possible.
If you're using the Spooky Remote transmitter, you may be able to use
as many as five or six specimens as long as you make sure that each
one is very small, i.e. cut each fingernail into four or five segments and
use just one segment from each subject remember, DNA is
microscopic, so even the tiniest sliver is sufficient.
Question: My father has a pacemaker. Ive been told that Rife machines
shouldnt be used in these cases.

This is true of Rife machines that only use electrodes, and the danger
arises because the electrical energy entering the body can interfere with
the pacemakers electronics. So it will also arise if you use Spooky2 in
Contact Mode so please don't. Remote Mode doesnt transmit
electricity, however so its quite safe for everyone.
Question: Does Spooky2 work like a zapper?
Most zappers work by mixing together a number of set frequencies
that cant be changed by the user. As a result, a very large range of
harmonics is produced, not all of them good for you. Long-term use of
a zapper can damage the beneficial flora in the skin, just as a
broad-spectrum antibiotic kills all bacteria friendly ones included.
Like all Rife machines, Spooky2 allows exact selection of the
frequencies required. You could say its like a snipers rifle compared to
a blunderbuss.
Question: I have a lot of problems I want to experiment with. Can I use two
frequency generators running at the same time on myself?
Yes, you can use multiple generators. But please make sure to check the
Skip Concurrent Duplicate Frequencies box in the Program Options
pane. Our research has shown that running duplicate frequencies
concurrently on more than one generator can be counterproductive.
