Reflection on Artifact

Evaluates and categorizes aircraft category and classes. Understands materials used for
aircraft, limitations of each, and why certain subcomponents were used. Interprets both
basic and advanced aircraft instruments.
For my artifact that I have chosen to use for this grading criteria is a presentation that me
and one other individual made on the APU system on a jet aircraft. For this project we had to
become professionals on the aircraft and learn all about its systems and how it is designed and
how they all operate. This is why I know Im at the exemplary level of learning for this topic.
Evaluates the effects of atmospheric conditions on piston powered aircraft. (Application)
Interprets current atmospheric conditions and their effects on turbine aircraft
All piston powered aircraft are subject to atmospheric conditions they lose power due to
altitude, temperature, humidity, etc. but they are great for smaller aircraft however though when
you get into larger heavier aircraft you need more thrust than what a piston powered engine can
produce. You need a turbine engine just like what the aircraft in my artifact has. You get a lot
more thrust meaning you can fly higher, faster, and farther.
