The legislation issues related to my music video are copyright
and privacy. Both of these will be covered in a document that I will have to sign before I film to limit how I can produce my video and what I am able to do with the production once it has been created. There is no defamation, racial or gender discrimination issues involved in my production.
Copyright is a legal right that grants the creator of an original
work exclusive rights for its use and distribution. Sundara Karmas management company will set limitations and exceptions to my production. The reason they do this is because they provide Sundara Karma with a production team who produce all their music videos and my production will not be accredited to them. They may wish to view my video before it is published to ensure they have no issues.
Privacy issues, for example filming the audience are covered in
the small print when a person buys their ticket. This means that when buying the ticket the individual has waived their rights to privacy enabling film crews to film close up shots of people in the crowd. One of the main reasons ticket distributers do this is to ensure they cannot be sued if an individual is spotted in a crowd when he or she wanted to remain anonymous. The fact that I will also be filming on the 27th May will be covered in the ticket terms and conditions.
