Water is an important source in life.

It covers about 70% of the earth

surface. Human needs water to drink and carry out activities such as agriculture,
fisheries, industries and construction. At this moment, water from the river is
mostly polluted and it is not safe for drinking purpose or activities.
Many factors that cause on river pollution such as dumping rubbish into
the river, untreated sewage system, uncontrolled agriculture activities and heavy
construction near the river bank. This uncontrolled activities can cause water
quality on river deteriorate and it may invite water diseases. It is also going to
affect people who live depending on the river and river aquatic also can be
extinct if this activities are not controlled.
To solve this problem, we should take an action to prevent river pollution
from getting even worst. According to the Department of Environment, early
awareness to clean and protect river from pollution should be given to student in
the schools and should be done continuously. Its should contain how to prevent
the pollution and what it is cause to human health if we dont stop the river
pollution. So they will take actions and more concern on maintaining the river
from being pollution in future.
Mass media also play an important role on giving awareness to public. In
the article wrote by Dr Mohammed Abdel Raouf a researcher from Gulf Research
Centre in Dubai said, media have central role to play especially in promoting
environment awareness and education. Mass media like radio, internet,
newspaper and television help to explain about environment policies, regulation,
and plans regarding to prevent this pollution from getting worst.
We realize that media can influence, shaping and also changing the
readers or audiences way of thinking. For example, television is the platform
where media is going to deliver the awareness. This should be slot in the
television advertising and broadcasting to educate the audience through the
media. It will remind the audience to feel more responsible towards against
polluting the river.
To conclude, all parties must play an important role to solve and prevent
this pollution from getting worst. We should cooperate with the government to
ensure the river pollution activities can be prevent. We also need to educate our
self and family to be more alert and more responsible towards this river pollution
issues. Our action today may give a chance to our next generation to have a
good life and healthier water from river in the future.
