Instruction:
1. Today, students are going to have to learn FAST to prepare them for a Green SCREEN Fiereciest Predator TV
SHOW! Student groups will represent ONE predator from the Mountain or Piedmont region. Groups need to
learn as much as they can about these animals so that when the debate starts, they can give FACTUAL reasons
that their animal is the fiercest predator of the region! Students may choose from: Gray fox, Black Bear, Bobcat,
Peregrine Falcon, or Bald Eagle.

2. Give students 10-15 minutes with their resources to talk, learn, and take notes about the predator their group
has chosen. One page fact sheets on each animal are provided, but it would be helpful if each teacher collected
books from your media center and/or textbooks for students to read through for information.

4. Creating Green Screen Videos: Review how to create green screen videos. Students will need to focus on the
topics below for their TV Show.
--Each team will be able to comment once on the following topics: (give these topics before students do their
research)
1. Physical features of the animal
2. Hunting
3. Survival Needs
4. Adaptability to change
5. Prey
6. Fun facts (Students can share additional information that may not fit into a category)
