In this video the cast from the show Girls talked about how one in five women will be
sexualy assulted in America. This claim was not based off of reality, but rather a liberal agenda
that is incorrect and dangerous for our country.
Let's think logically. That is politics put aside, and common sense only. Well look at the
actual numbers and facts later. Can you imagine, living in a place where one in five women will
be victims to sexual assault! (Real sexual assault, not their definition which well also cover
later.)
People would be afraid to leave their homes! Those are the statistics seen only in the absolute
worst parts of the worst places in the world! A place where one in five women are sexualy
assulted is going to be a place of extreme police corruption and conditions that are anarchy or
very close. The rule of law would not even be considered in a place like this. This is certainly
not happening in free western societies, let alone the United States of America. For one in five
women to be a victim of sexual assault, men would also have to simply not care too much about
the crime. Not one man that I have ever met has ever had a reaction to sexual assault other
than severe repulsion to the horrible human beings who would commit such a crime. So where
are these numbers coming from, and do they have very solid evidence to back up this
seemingly preposterous claim? As it turns out, no they most certainly do not.
After making the claim that one in five women will be sexualy assulted, the cast of Girls
said, This isnt a secret, its reality. However this simply is not reality in the United States. The
real statistics, from the FBI, show a very different story. The statistic for rape in the United
States on the FBIs website as of 2013, which is their most recent statistic, says that 25.2 per
100,000 inhabitants will be victims to rape. Simplified, that is 1 in every 4000 women. This
statistic is straight off of the FBIs website. I will leave the statistics stapled to this sheet. This is
hard to believe because of the rape culture the left has been so successful in pushing,
however it is just the facts. So if this is what our government is saying, where did the cast of
girls get this outrageous number?
As it turns out, this was from one survey that was highly inaccurate. This was so
inaccurate for a number of reasons. This first of these reasons is the amount of people that
even responded to the survey. It was only 19.3% of people contacted, despite the incentive.
That itself makes this survey inaccurate, but there's more. Their definition for sexual assault is
Nonconsensual sexual contact involving [either] sexual penetration [or] sexual touching.
However here's the problem. Their idea of nonconsensual sexual touching is as follows.
Sexual touching includes kissing as well as rubbing against the other in a sexual way, even if
the touching is over the others clothes. So by their definition of sexual assault, you could have
said that you have been sexualy assulted if someone bumped into you. By their definition of
sexual assault, I have committed the crime multiple times just today!
This lie is dangerous. Extremely so. Saying it creates unnecessary fear, but more
importantly, takes our focus off the real victims. Not the people who were bumped into and cried
sexual assault, but the true victims of the truly horrific crime, rape. We should be giving our full
support to the people who have been physically and mentally traumatized after being pulled into
an alleyway and raped at gunpoint. These are the real victims, and they should never have
their stories overshadowed by this horrible fake news.
