each year. We also franchise AAT tuition to local further education colleges. Our Professional Tuition
Hub is a key element of the School of Law, Accounting & Finance with a focus on professional tuition.
We have over 40 years experience of teaching ACCA and CIMA and we launched our ACA course in
2012, working closely with ICAEW.

Please note that as this is a transitional year for our CIMA course, tuition for the Integrated Case Studies at each Level of the Professional Qualification will
occur in the Autumn of 2017. Students are required to complete all Objective Test exams for a Level before proceeding to the Integrated Case Study for that

ACCA - table key and notes for students:

Sept = September 2016 tuition start; paper taught Sept-Nov 2016 for December 2016 exam.
Jan = January 2017 tuition start; paper taught Jan-May 2017 for June 2017 exam.
Jan-Feb = January 2017 tuition start; paper taught Jan-Feb 2017 for March 2017 exam.
March-May = March 2017 tuition start; paper taught March-May 2017 for June 2017 exam.

The tuition structure above is designed to allow many flexible study options.

Each paper is taught in a 3.5 hour workshop each week, with the exception of 2017 Atlantic House P papers (which are taught for 7
hours per week). Also note that extra study days take place for papers studied between Sept-Nov and Jan-Feb.
For Sept-Nov papers, there are TWO additional study days for each F paper and THREE additional study days for each P paper. Jan-
Feb papers have one additional study day each. Please contact the academic contacts listed for more details. The additional study
days generally run between 9.30am and 4.30pm.

An example route through the ACCA scheme, based on delivery at Newport City Campus, would be:
Year One: F1, F2 (September-November); F3, F4 (January-May)
Year Two: F5 (September-November); F6, F7 (January-May)
Year Three: F8, F9 (September-December); P1, P2 (January-May)
Year Four: P3 (September-December); 2 option papers (January-June)

Students should consult the ACCA exam timetable before embarking on papers. In particular, paper P7 should be studied after
paper P2 and the following paper combinations should be avoided: P1 with P5, P3 with P6 and F1 with F4.

Students studying the Fundamentals Level Papers (F1-F9) at Newport City Campus can choose between sitting external ACCA
exams or internal University exams. Those who obtain sucient internal credits are awarded a University Certificate and/or Diploma
of Higher Education (Professional Accounting) as part of their ACCA studies. Note that when students take internal University exams,
they then claim exemptions from ACCA on a paper by paper basis.

ICAEW ACA Qualification
(Professional & Advanced Levels)

Course Delivery: Block Tuition

Students requiring tuition for Certificate Level should join the day release course at Newport City Campus and then transition to the
Cardi Campus block course in the following year.

Business Strategy will run in block format between September and December 2017 for students starting the Professional Level block
delivery in September 2016. Advanced Level will run in block format for these students from January to July 2018.
