Preliminary Research

The Interviewee:
I chose to interview, Wayco Scroggin. I chose to interview him because he engineered a exo-
suit. I met him from a teacher at my school. I will be interviewing him at my high school,
because he participates in the robotics club.

Career Research:
I am researching Mechanical Engineering, which has an estimated pay of $83,590 per year,
and $40.19 per hour(O*NET OnLine). Mechanical engineers design, develop, build, and test
mechanical and thermal sensors and devices, including tools, engines, and machines.(U.S.
Bureau of Labor Statistics). An engineer job includes, applying principles, techniques,
procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.(Toolkit
| CareerOneStop).
