80% of cardiac arrest cases
occur either in the home or at
public places. If those present
at the scene are able to
provide CPR to the victim
promptly, the latters chances
of survival are significantly
increased.
Why should you learn
CPR?
Most Cardiac Arrest happen in a public
place and when that happens most
people that are nearby and around you
arent CPR certified. Therefore, the
more people who get CPR Certified
there is a greater chance of you
surviving.
Basic steps of CPR
D Dangers? Are there any dangerous
objects around?
R Response? Is the victim responding?
S Send for help. Call 911
A Open airway. Tilt head back to open
airway.
B Normal breathing. Are they breathing?
C Start CPR. Start the 15 compressions
and 2 breathes
D Attach defibrillator (AED)
