Most Indonesian people like to work in abroad. They think that its a good way to earn a good salary. However , is
not true that working abroad makes happy ?

Many wokers usually send large sums of money to their families in Indonesia. Eventhought they just go home a year. At
least they bring a lot of money to pay they childrens education or to change their life into a better life. They can build a
beutiful big house and provide many electronicappliances in their home. In other words, they become rich people.

Yet, are migrant wokers happy there ? they laeve their families. The often go home once a year to meet their parents
or their children.

Moreever t, there are some workers who stay away fromtheir families for such a long time. They must miss their
families. Lets watch on TV.there are some workers who are abused by their boss. Some of them are injured, or even died.
Some of families also can not contact them.

There are good or bad thing about working overseas. It would be better if our goverenment pay attention to them and

Many people like to live in a city although it is often very crowded. There are many jobs available. Therefore it is
easier to plan for a living. There are also more opportunity for education and recreation. If people are sick, there is
always a hospital or a clinic nearby. There are markets, supermarkets, or department stores that people can choose to
shopping in addition, all means of transportation are available. People can go by bus, taxi, train or plain. For these
reactions people prefer living in a city to a village.

Some other people prefer living in a village to a city. A village is not very crowded and noicy. People do not have
to rush to work. They may do whether they want. They do not have to go to school for a long period of time. They go to
the elemen tary school just to be able to write and read. This is enough for them to survive. They do not care much
about time.

Today and tomorrow are just the same. For them, living naturally like this is enjoyable for them. However, not
every villager enjoys the natural life. Some of them find that rural life is quite backward. They want to improve their
lives. They move to the big city to start the new life. Of cause, some of them are succesful, but many of them are not.
Fot those who are not succesful living in a big city like Jakarta is really terrible. They are jobless and homeless because
they do not have skills needed in urband area. They live in the slums of the city.
