Reflections on Observation Task 1: Differentiating
Centers
1. What are classroom learning centers?
- The purpose of the classroom learning center for the students can
learn in different and easy ways. The teacher gives students time and
freedom to choose the materials that they will use it for the activity.
3. What is the role of the students while engaged during
learning centers?
- The students work with the different activity, been more socially
while collaboration with other students. It determines the level of
students and their abilities. According to theory Jean Piaget, the
children learn by doing, so the children can learn while doing the
activity.
4. What is the role of the teacher as the students are engaged
during learning centers?
- The role of the teacher as the students engaged during learning centers, get the students
excited to do the activity, praise the students for what they did well to let them feel they
did grateful work. Teacher reward students that help them don't give up and need to finish
all the activity.
5. Do you feel it is important to offer tasks that are
developmentally appropriate for all student ability levels?
Why / Why not?
- Yes, it's necessary for the teacher to offer tasks that are developmentally appropriate for
all student ability levels because that help the teacher to see the children level, who they
need complex activity to develop their skills and who require a simple activity and the
teacher work with them more.
