Objective
My objective is to acquire a position in the veterinary field that will benefit me and help me gain the
experience necessary to attain admittance into veterinary school while gaining important knowledge
within the field that will aid in my future endeavors.

Experience
DeBlancs Pharmacy 2009-2013
I worked as a clerk at DeBlancs Pharmacy in New Orleans for five years. During this time, I gained
valuable experience while learning how to be a diligent employee, the value of earning and managing
my own money, and achieved a basic knowledge of the pharmaceutical field. This intellect is
important for anyone entering into the science field, as it plays a major role in the treatment of
patients.

VCA Causeway Animal Hospital 2014-2017

I began shadowing Dr. Andra Ponson and the six other veterinarians on staff at Causeway Small
Animal Hospital the summer after I graduated from high school. Here, I was able to gain valuable
experience in the field and learn exactly what a small animal veterinarian does on a day-to-day basis.
I was given the opportunity to sit in on a number of different surgeries, help out around the clinic, and
tap into the knowledge of the many skilled professionals who work there.

Companion Animal Alliance 2017-Present

In the summer of 2017, I started volunteering at the local animal shelter in Baton Rouge. This gave
me the opportunity to see the shelter side of veterinary medicine. In the shelter, I am able to get
more hands on experience and observe even more cases, surgeries, and patients while also giving
back to my community.

Education
St. Marys Dominican High School 2009-2014
I began attending St. Marys Dominican high school in the 8 th grade. Known for its exemplary
academics, Dominican is a five-year, private high school in New Orleans, Louisiana. Here, I became
proficient in Mathematics, English, Science, Art, History, and Religion. I excelled in both honors and AP
courses throughout my time there. Dominican guided me through high school and gave me the tools
to be a successful college student.

Louisiana State University 2014-2018

I started my freshmen year at LSU in the fall semester of 2014, majoring in Animal Science with a
concentration in Pre-Veterinary Medicine. Having tested out of entry-level courses, I jumped straight
into major-focused biological and animal science classes. My junior year I declared a minor in
business in order to become a more well rounded student. I am set to graduate in the spring of 2018.

Skills
I pride myself in being a well-rounded individual with a hunger for knowledge of all types. Not only
have I become proficient in my major-oriented science classes, gained in field experience in
numerous manners, and become a hardworking employee, I jump at every new opportunity that
comes my way. Throughout high school and college, I have held multiple leadership positions and
became involved in many outside organizations. As a member of Pi Beta Phi Womens Fraternity at
LSU, I was elected as New Member Assistant and later served on Executive Council as my chapters
New Member Coordinator. The following year, I was selected as the Director of Recruitment Logistics
for LSUs PanHellenic Executive Council where I currently serve as an ambassador for the university.
My vast leadership abilities set me apart from others and demonstrate the versatility that I carry.
