Director Data Conversion and Implementation
Managing a team of 40 Software Developers and System Analysts in the U.S. and India.
Directing the entire development, conversion and implementation lifecycle for all new and
existing clients in the Define Contribution division. Coordinating with Enterprise Architecture on
evaluating and selecting Azure and/or AWS platforms for client data conversion. Overseeing a

University of Wisconsin UW Health, Madison, Wisconsin 2014 - 2015


IT Director Infrastructure and Operations
Managed UW Medical Foundation and UW Hospital and Clinics IT Infrastructure. Lead and
directed core infrastructure teams 75 FTE and contractors (Network Engineering, Telecom
Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Database Engineering, and Interface
Engineering). Consolidated and combined both organizations infrastructure. Coordinated a
major Epic upgrade from Epic with all infrastructure and clinical teams. Acted as an interim CTO
(Nov. 14 Sept. 15) during the process of selecting a new CTO. Worked closely with the two
organizations (MF & HC) finance team to forecast upcoming combined projects as well as the
initiatives to speed up the organizational consolidation. Standardized storage and server
platforms to a single brand to reduce annual maintenance and streamline support engagement
with vendors. Combined Epic platforms from both organizations into a single Citrix platform.
Acted as the main point of contact for all technological implementations for the new hospital
(TAC) Hospital which opened on August 17, 2015. Worked closely with the School of Medicine
and Public Health (SMPH) to provide and assist with clinical research and requirements.

Initiated Active Directory consolidation of UW Medical Foundation and UW Hospital and Clinics.
Implemented a Secure Computing platform for the School of Medicine and researchers.
Implemented VBlock 540 and 120 TB of EMC XtremIO storage. This platform provided a self-
provisioning computing platforms using VMware VRealize for all clinical researchers.
Started a 3-year phone system conversion for the entire UW organizations from the traditional
systems to CISCO VoIP. Currently a majority of Clinics across Wisconsin and the new TAC Hospital
have been converted to VoIP.
Closely worked with HIMC to provide all their data needs from Epic and other data warehouse
platforms into a new Netezza Stripper appliances for quick access to BI and the reporting team.
Planned the move of 3 main data centers in Madison to a single Tier 3 DC by TriRivers in
Rockford, IL. This move allowed us to have a single primary site and a single DR site in Madison.
Worked on a 2-year plan with Epic, UW Clinical team and Infrastructure to Convert
SwedishAmerican Hospital (in Rockford, IL acquired by UW Health in late 2013) MediTech
platform into the UW Health Epic platform. Currently SAHS uses Epic for their Ambulatory
systems and MediTech for inpatient.
Worked closely with the clinical teams to implement a Community Connect department which
provided UW Health Epic platform, with the help of Epic Systems, to smaller clinics and
physicians offices that could not afford an Epic platform. First client, Agrace Hospice, went live
in July 01, 2015.
Worked with Kindred Healthcare to provide UW Health Epic platform. UW Health and Kindred
joint rehabilitation hospital venture opened in September of 2015.

IT Director Global Operations and Infrastructure
Directed the effort of IT production services to follow architectural standards to implement an
entirely a new system for money transfer and cash products. Functioned as a program manager for
multiple systems integration into a single platform from various acquisitions such as TravelX and Custom House. Closely
worked with WU newly formed innovation center in San Francisco to implement 150 node clusters for Cloudera Hadoop.
Implemented Netezza Data warehouse and TIBCO memory grids. Worked closely with SFO Development and Design
team members to create a new eWallet for the future state of the art platform and ecommerce. Selected as a member of a
panel responsible for high-level architectural design of the largest BI platform at Western Union. Instrumental in
negotiation and purchasing of EMC VMAX and VNX for new storage systems in primary and secondary datacenters.
Standardized all database server builds to include RSA encryption. Coordinated with End User Computing (EUC) to
deploy VMware 2n+1 of almost 3500 images enterprise wide. Assisted in making decision to deploy the largest Moka 5
implementation & BYOD. Critical systems updated to utilize Golden Gate for near real time replication and active-active
models for zero down time critical transactional applications Implemented Fusion ION for two of the highly IO bound
transactional money transfer systems.
