BSP Notes: 4/11/17

Basil: Considering moving him to CJ, now push for IS since concerns at both schools. IS best
for him, not necessarily, he does not attend classes. He is credit deficient. FBA requested for
county services. Ability to stay in class an issue. Wanders hall and disrupts other classes.
Exaggerated fight or flight.

Concerns @ CJ: Conflict with other students, emotional outbursts, leaving and not attending
classes, etc

Basil Meeting:

- Stated he is having a rough time and rough week.

- Agreed to speak with BSP team.
- Praised for coming to school every day. Class attendance issues addressed.
- Stated classes were too long.
- Agreed to go to Mr. Christiansens class half way through periods
- Student got up and walked out stating This is Fucking Stupid.
- Meeting abruptly over

* Immediate mental health requested since he does not have ability to cope with stressful
situations, and abandons or walks out when uncomfortable. Does have skills to cope or know
how to react to situations.

* IEP requested for Basil. Still no follow through for IEP. Options are being exhausted. Change
of placement is necessary. Has not been SARBd.

Freddy Update:

- Broke into concession stand at football field last week. Nothing happened.
- Informed campus cop Willie, insisted must be cited every time he sets foot on campus. Done
with last chances, needs to be cited.
- Freddy trying to get into the system.
- Principal must be informed about citation process.

Mariah Update:

- Cussed out one of the aids.

- Meeting with Natalie once a week, but does not make meetings.
- Outbursts with aids.
- Will not apologize to aids.
- Stated that the aids were talking about her right in front of her face, and saying things that
offended her, so she called them out on what they were saying.
- Restorative Justice?
Thomas Update:

- Needs behavioral plan.

- Needs continuous support surrounding him.
- Possible FBA for intensive educational services. Pave way for mental health services he
needs.
- Really low cognitive skills.
- Takes things out on himself instead of other people.
- Mental Health issues are effecting his education.
- BIP has been requested. Follow up? Next steps?
- Mens group in Whitchipec. Possibility? Transportation issues.

Kayla Update:

- Moved back in with grandmother, once also present.

- Brothers and sisters getting taken away by CWS.
- Cutting classes an issue.
- Housing issue. House wasnt up to par. Runs her limits with everyone, then moves on.

Lawrence Update:

- Mom put him on independent study.

- Emotional instability and outbursts, mental issues.
- Discipline issues.
- Needs emotional support, counseling, other mental health services.
- Possible mental illness. Could be drug related?
