Understanding God and Religion was one of my favorite topic.

sharing my view on
God and religion. if this hurts anyones belief of sentiment, please forgive me.
All of us are right in our own beliefs and that is how religions evolved.
Imagine you have a costly car. how do you define your car. what exactly is your
car. Is it engine, tyre, seats, lights? If you change any of these, is your car
not with you. It is, right. So none of these are your car but there is no car i
n absence of all of these. So a car can be seen but is there nothing any one thi
ng called car. God as I understand is natural force power thing that controls ev
erything and it exists. It is beyond our understanding of Human. Just like how a
car exists as we have defined. Tangible things like Human nature etc intabgible
things like magnetic power electricity all are part of God. God and Nature are
not two different things. Now let us compare a plant with animals of human being
. if you cut a part of animal or human being it dies most probably. but a plant
continues to grow. so where is the life in a plant. in its root, stem, leaves?
it is across everywhere.
now let us come to DhVYaitham and Advaitham of Hindu religion. Are we separate f
rom God as Dhvyaitham says. yes. engine is not car, tyre is not car. so we are n
ot exactly a God. so Dhvyaitham is correct. Is God there within us as Adhvaitham
says. Yes. We are also part of God as engine is. God is spread across everywher
e just like how we saw in plant. Andhathil ulladhu dhan Pindathil ullathu. we ar
e an exact replica of our Universe.
This is why Greek and Hindu Mythology have so many Gods like Fire, water etc etc
. I admire Jainism of all religions because it is the only religion which says t
hat everything should be examined and validated by your consience, before you pr
actise.
Imagine your father or mother is not with you for 10-15 years. image you live in
a world there are no photos. close your eyes and can you visualize them. may be
1% of human beings can do like artists etc. but not everyone. so we need a phys
ical representation or physical entity in some complete form to visualize and em
otionally understand and start interacting with. So certain religions have visua
lized Gods in various forms so that you can be close to the God. But i believe s
ome religions didn't follow this because they didnt want to get distracted from
the main purpose
so let us also see back into history of how humans would have started worship an
d how religions would have been evolved. imagine a person who has not seen food
for several months. you give him food just as he is about to collapse. image som
eone saves you from a great danger by risking his life. so when human beings evo
lved in the earth they would have been constantly under threat from nature, wild
animals etc. so in early human days some great souls who transformed the way th
e humans lived that time would have been worshipped as God. You know Tamils wors
hipped Nadukal. I believe Lord Muruga is worshipped and so close to all us becau
se he has done tremendous contribution to Tamil and Tamilland and Tamizhargal.
One reason why Tamils and people in India flourished rich in culture as compared
to other geographies of earth. my understanding. India is land that is least af
fected from various natural calamities, not weird temperatures like few places t
hat snows or completely cold. The wealth of the land etc made people here to foc
us on research on understanding of earth, God, religion etc. When we have some f
ree time, we start thinking about things that we like. Imagine you live a in wor
ld where there is no need to slog for money, you spend maximum time in research
of these things. so early settlement of people in India created great philosophi
es while humans were wandering in other parts of the word.
Siddhars originated who served the society in terms of their contribution from m
edicine, martial arts, science etc. They possess great powers and contributed im
mensely. Siddhars were far away from relgion. My belief Lord Jesus, Sai Baba als
o should have been great Siddhars. if you are interested search about Siddhars a
nd you will find great information about them. Their teaching and contribution
transformed the world. Lord Shiva is supposed to be the first Siddha of the worl
d. Lord Narayana, I believe should also be a great Siddhar who researched on evo
lution of astranomy and that is why he is lying down in all temples and seeing t
he sky. He should have done research about Galaxies. The term parkadal, we inter
pret as Ocean of Milk. This is wrong.How can there be a Ocean of Milk. This is o
ur lack of understanding. it is actually milky way galaxy. Lord Shiva nataraja
statue is cosmical in nature.
Religions started developing later when various sects of people started followin
g various beleifs and Gods. now we are in unfortunate state where terrorism and
unruly behaviours happen in name of religion and God. conversions from one relig
ion to another and what all mess.
One more thing, Science is never perfect. Science as we understand is a process
oriented way of understanding things. Science grows in increments as and when we
baseline some theories as evaluated by the prevailing facts. We studied that Pl
uto was a planet today our Kids are studying that Pluto is not a plant. Choleste
rol was bad till yesterday, now there is nothing like a cholesterol.
What we study is not a real science that our ancients studied. Science is knowle
dge of everything in the Universe in total and trying to live with utmost joy an
d minimal damage to the universe. Not trying to understand how things work and t
rying to develop more things on top of that. Hot topics in science like Ecologic
al balance, saving of earth, environmental care etc were practised in day to day
life by our forefathers. we today study as a science because the way we have sc
rewed up the earth. Tamils and Indians knew every part of science well than west
eners understood. i wonder how.
Today's science is leading to mass destruction of human society like Automation,
AK-47, Nuclear weapons. But Indian Science made our life flourish. why
1. Our people researched everything from inside our heart and then replicated th
at knowledge outside to understand the world. While western world focussed only
on external world and phenomena. So there is no divinity in Science.
2. Indian Science was focused on understanding of world and how it can benefit e
very living being, whereas todays invention are focused on creating new experien
ces that pushes us into a virtual world very far away from nature and understand
ing of God. Todays invention are outcome of selfish move and a purpose. Nature h
as no purpose. Humans only created a purpose. Today's science has taken us far f
rom God and only religion remains with us. we are pushed into a tabloid world.
3. lack of understanding of God and religion leading to living in a world where
we see every religion as different.
so bottomline. God is within us and we are also part of God. don't compare Gods
or religions. know more about Siddhas. they will explain God. let not only relig
ion stay with us without divine thinking of God. then you become like a temple o
r Mosque or Church which misses the main Power. let our modern science be at wor
k and let us research more on real science how our ancient people understood
