I love folklore, legends and myths
and spring is a great time to revisit
a myth that explains flowering
and new growth. The goddess that
comes to mind is PERSEPHONE
queen of the underworld, wife of
the god Haides. She was also the
goddess of spring growth, who
was worshipped alongside her
mother Demeter in the Eleusinian
Mysteries. This agricultural-based
cult promised its initiates passage to
a blessed afterlife.
Persephone was titled Kore (the
Maiden) as the goddess of springs
bounty. Once upon a time when she
was playing in a flowery meadow
with her Nymph companions, Kore
was seized by Haides and carried
off to the underworld as his bride.

How do you speak to someone, who is unfamiliar with tarot, in

a professional manner? How do you handle being driven out
of a fair due to intolerance? What can we, as a whole tarot
community, do to raise awareness of what we are doing?

I
am part of several tarot related communities within social media,
mainly Facebook, and I cannot help but always notice that there is
some sort of divide within the community. I want to touch upon
some of the major issues that I personally have a problem with when it
comes to social media.

Understand that not everyone is going to agree with your interpretation

of the spread. If you do not agree with the spread, explain yourself and be
mindful of the words you use.
This boils down to respecting one another as a reader. If you are going to
post your readings up on social media, of course fellow readers are going
to be curious and try to decipher the meaning behind the cards that you
pulled for yourself. If you are asking for help with interpretations, allow
yourself to see the information with open eyes and an open heart. You
will get nothing out of just listening to people praise you and reaffirm
what you already know. Learning occurs when you are able to gain extra
information of a spread and view your spread in other perspectives that
you missed to begin with. Even as a professional tarot reader, I adore

piritual hoardingI had
recently been watching a
program series that followed
the lives or stories of hoarding.
This is considered a psychiatric
disorder as these individuals collect
and retain objects which not only
have no material value but are often
dangerous and unsanitary. It is also
common to find animal hoarders;
usually they begin by saving or
the intention to save what they see
as vulnerable or neglected animals.
Although its possible to hoard
just about any species, the most
common are cats and dogs. While
the intention begins with an honest

and genuine desire to help these
animals, the results of hoarding are
not only a dire threat to the humans
trying to live amongst out of
control numbers, these same risks
and health related problems literally
affect the animals they originally
sought to help.
The problem can become so
profound, that these individuals
are unable to recognize that most
of the animals they assume they
are helping or caring for in reality
are sick, malnourished, diseased
and dying. So what began as a
pure and healthy concern for other
living beings ends up or results in

basic needs are no longer able to be
met, usually due to the numbers.
For example its not uncommon for
a cat hoarder to house 70+ cats; and

uninhabitable environment.

First we define this condition or coping mechanism
as going hand in hand with emotional hoarding,
with the term being interchangeable. What begins
as our intention to control or monitor our emotions
and spiritual or core energy and shifts, becomes a
dysfunctional pattern of being unable to release ANY
negative or toxic spiritual or emotional waste.
Just as the literal hoarder, spiritual/emotional
hoarding is often triggered by a traumatic event or by
the recall of events earlier in life. As this syndrome or
pattern continues, just as the collection of cats grows
in a cat hoarders home, the buildup and collection
of emotions, fears, obstacles and inability to express
builds until our entire energy is focused on keeping
these contained and we become almost frozen or
paralyzed in our lives.
As my guides have mentioned quite often, we are of
the trinity or trine; therefore our spiritual, emotional
and physical well-being is always influenced in what
you might imagine to be a constantly rotating wheel
or circle. The more we hoard our spiritual needs
and emotions, the more our physical body becomes
affected with various symptoms. These may range from
anxiety, depression, risk taking, headaches, body aches
and pains and even difficulty sleeping. While not every
person that suffers from anxiety or depression is a
hoarder (these are also physiological issues not always
controlled by our thoughts or energy) all of those
that spiritually/emotionally hoard will after enough
time, begin to experience one or more of the above
mentioned issues.
In mainstream society and for most developed
countries there are certain laws both in the legal sense
and in the social sense that are seen as appropriate
or inappropriate. When a healthy person becomes a
hoarder or begins hoarding, they eventually surpass
even the normal or common expectations and are left
feeling totally disconnected from their own self and
the world around them.
For example most of us would feel that its
inappropriate to become violently angry over a slow
checker at the market. And we have our built in radar
or control checks that although we may feel frustration
and some anger, we do not allow ourselves to display
a tantrum. When we become hoarders, we go to
the opposite extreme and hoard our emotional and
spiritual affect so that our ability to show justified
anger or frustration becomes impossible. So imagine
standing in the same line and another customer

be considered appropriate and within the range of
normal boundaries and expression to speak up. Either

a hoarder, even when its appropriate and actually
healthy to establish some rights, they will simply
ignore the obvious insult and immediately shut off all
feelings or connections to themselves and the situation.
When we hoard emotions, feelings or our individual
expressions, we are forced to disconnect as its virtually
impossible for us to dismantle our inner or core
feelings and energy without an outlet. So without an
ability to vent or to express, we are literally trying to
cope in our spiritual core being amidst hundreds of

ability to express our selves.

is that we are spiritual beings, and
when we force ourselves to cut
off our spiritual connection, we
are no longer truly living life. It is
impossible to find and especially
to maintain or build any type of
healthy relationship when we
have disconnected from our own
self. And while many spiritual
hoarders may actually turn to literal
hoarding, drugs, alcohol or other
dysfunctional ways of release, these

never truly are dealt with-therefore
they are not released and can only
be shifted into another outlet of
unhealthy coping and patterns.
To be healthy, productive beings,
we absolutely must be able to share
some of our energy, and release
some of what is or becomes a toxic
build up over time. Like oil and
water, it is virtually impossible
to remain totally detached from
emotions or our spiritual self
without compromising out entire
life and all of the potential of the
future.
So how can we recognize that we
have become hoarders and what
can we do to reconnect or plug
back in to self and universe?

Thankfully theyre not. Theyre
not Magic 8-balls. Theyre living,
breathing, thinking and feeling
human beings who don have all

themselves to developing their
psychic skills and relaying the
information they receive to others.
Sure there are psychics who were
born gifted. But even those are not
always right. And even they must
work to develop their skills over
time. A real psychic knows that this
is a process and that moving past
the ego (the part of them and you
that wants to believe theyre all-
knowing and all-seeing) can deliver
much more valuable insights than
those who try to shroud themselves
in mystery.
Opening your eyes and becoming

I first started developing my sixth sense with a pendu-
lum, I must have been about 14 years old, and I didnt
know what I was doing, but realized that the back and

creating a conscious relationship
can be the most wonderfully
fulfilling kind of relationship
a person can have. Conscious
relationships require a certain level
of awareness that can take us into
a deeper sense of who we are. A
conscious relationship is a journey.
It is not a destination. It is one
where each of us stays present
or conscious in our connection
together. Staying present keeps
our hearts open and connected
to one another. As evolving
beings perhaps the number one
tool that we have is open and
honest communication. It can be
difficult at times to listen without
judgement to another human
being. It requires being present
to whatever arises and hearing
that person at a deep level. Many
of us were not taught taught the
art and skill of communication in
childhood or at grade school so
we have little experience with it.
Conscious communication keeps
our relationships moving along the
paths of personal and impersonal
growth and keeps both partners in
resonance with one another.

The foundation of conscious
communication is something that
can be chosen in every moment.
We begin by being present right
here and right now. According to

Intimacy is another vital

see. How do we create intimacy? Communication at
a conscious level is the door to intimacy. To achieve
this we need to be present in the moment with what
is in front of us right now without distractions or
judgements. We begin by being present with the self.
Here is a simple exercise right here and right now
in the present. Take a moment and get comfortable
and bring your awareness to your breath. Take a soft
inhale and exhale - no effort required. Take another
few breaths and bring your awareness to the sensation
of breath. And now we bring our awareness into our
body. Be aware of the sensations in your body --- We
are just noticing and just being with it -- not judging.
See if you can be present in your entire body. Thats
right, you are here right now home in this body.
Now begin to notice the sounds you may be aware of
around you. You are simply noticing. And be aware
of the rising and falling of the breath. And and bring
this sense of awareness outside yourself. Allow your
eyes to be present with whatever you are noticing
around you. Look around in this moment. What do
you see, hear, feel. Just noticing and letting go of any
attachments to thoughts Let them float on by like
clouds in the sky. We are practising simply being here.
Just continue to be here with yourself. Fully present in
the environment.
The art of being present in a relationship
The intention is to want to know who this person
is beyond the limiting judgements. By doing this
you are giving the message, I want to know you. I
want you to experience being heard and listened to.
I want you to feel welcome and share all of who you

are. Our heart is open and are minds are soft and
non-judgemental. If we are running judgments we
cant be present with what is in front of us in the here
and now. In Buddhism there is the practice of not
knowing or beginners mind. Truthfully, we can never
know what is happening in the mind of another. This
is an explorative process. So how can we be present
in an open and receptive way? We can come up with
questions such as what does this person need right
now and what can we learn about this person? We
have the attitude of curiosity and exploration. Not
only does this process open up a field of possibilities
but the other person gets the opportunity to discover
themselves in ways that may have never been tuned
into previously.
Conscious listening
We might not be listening if we cannot repeat back
what the other person has said. We might not be
listening if we are are distracted or are running stories
in our minds. You know what it is like when you are
grabbed by those stories. When they grab us they tend
to really grab us. Our mind creates interpretations and
we tend to see them through a lens or judgements.
Statements that begin with You always .... (fill in
the blank) tend to freeze the other in a limited view.
It doesnt feel good to our partners. We are often not
aware of how this impacts the other person or the
picture we are painting. How we are held in sacred and
conscious space really influences how we show up. One
study showed that children who were classed as having
a high 1Q were told thier IQ was low, and as a result
their IQ came down. So its about focusing on the good
attributes of this person in front of you and with the
willingness to explore rather than interpret. We can shift these frames so
that we can be a conduit of our partners best qualities and hold the space
for this. We can turn this around by taking the same things and making
a different story. For example our partner may be always taking on too
many tasks, we can say they are a highly spontaneous and creative person
...she/he loves to do this .. it benefits many people. We have such great
power in the way we weave these stories. By turning it around we have
another voice emerging, honouring the gifts our partner has.

sessions and I certainly do agree. Each day at
specific times, in a specific area is a wonderful plan
of action for this work. Spirit knows our intentions
and they do their best to comply with our requests.
Working as I do with the ANGELS is always a
positive experience and many spirits manage to come
through in the most amazing, PROFOUND and
loving ways. Many times when I work in water my
ANGELIC HELPERS show me an entire story in
my water bowl. I often find that many Spirits will be
found within one single photo of the moving water. I
often hear within, names, and/or situations pertaining
to the spirits seen in the water. Many ITC Researchers
begin to create a trust with spirit while working and
this trust grows stronger the more we work together.
Much of my SPIRIT PHOTOGRAPHY is filled with
symbols and numbers and often times what appear
to be glyphs of unknown origin. Small words within

MacBeths Curse
F
or years a strange curse is said to associate itself
with one of Shakespeare's most classic tragedies,
"Macbeth". Whenever the play was cast, disaster
followed. Actors died, audience succumbed, and what
not. What is the cause of this eerie curse? And is it
real?
The Curse
There are two chief superstitions associated with
the Macbeth play. One is that calling the play by its
name "Macbeth" in the premises of a theatre welcomes
misfortune. Thus, to avoid mishaps one must refer to
it by its pseudonyms, such as The Scottish Play, The
Bard's Play or the Glamis Comedy. However, this
rule only applies if you are inside a theatre. Thus I
presume it is safe to call it by its real name Macbeth
now! Another prevalent prejudice is that the play itself,
whenever enacted, causes undesirable events. Here
are some of the worst accidents associated with the

The earliest accident occurred at the very first premier
of Macbeth. On 7th August 1606, Macbeth was to be
performed before King James I. However, the boy Hal

park. The park really nothing more than
a tiny city green space with some benches,
trees and flowers, but it is lovely. This park has been
and remains a great place to sit in the warm weather,

summer, some young person will have their guitar,

In this park, on the eastern edge is an old growth
Linden tree. It is as majestic as they come, but for
some reason it attracts lightening; so much so, that
some in the neighborhood, including myself, refer to it
as the Lightening Tree. Its trunk is scarred and twisted
and has to have many branches removed because of
damage done during severe lightening storms. I have
witnessed lightening strike this tree during a summer
 even after eight or so months after
being marked as too weak and

To me, the survival of this tree

Gypsy Wagon
P
etes old horse drawn gypsy wagon was a relic
of a bygone era, and a large crowd gathered
wherever it went, Pete lived in it most of the
year while travelling to various events and festivals,
but while females felt comfortable in the wagon most
males were uneasy and quickly wanted to get out, and
Pete always wondered why?
Originally whole families often with several children
lived in these canvas covered wagons called ragtops
or bowtops and lived their whole lives on the side of
the road as best they could, often travelling from farm

to farm working in the fields and doing a variety of
jobs.
The wagon, the forerunner of todays modern
caravans carried all their worldly goods feed for the
horse and often a few chickens too, but nowadays
people just had them as curios and holiday homes,
the popular author Roald Dahl wrote all his childrens
books in an old gypsy wagon in hs garden, they are
certainly attractive with bright colored fittings and
nice carvings which were originally to fend off any evil
spirits.

Pete a man who originally worked

skills grew so did the pressure of

hear his message of simple living.
He asked me several times to
examine the wagon for an answer

Wiltshire countryside and saw his

a cup of herbal tea picked that
morning, Pete said he was
impatient for why men felt such
weird vibes in the wagon and as
he had been invited out for the
evening, would I stay inside the
wagon and see what I could feel.
Left on my own that Christmas eve
I sat there with no inspiration and
felt a bit defeated, so put another
small log into the stove and needing
to rest I lay in the bunk and let my
thoughts just ramble, suddenly I
realized how comfortable it all was
and pulling a sheepskin over me i
felt very much at peace.
I had been dozing for some time,
when i awoke with a start as a short
plump weather-beaten old woman
stood over me and asked what I was
doing in her wagon, a little shocked
I blurted out that I was here as
Petes guest, she said this was her
home and was very fussy about
who came inside, and was not keen
on men at all.
I felt very on edge by her anger
and tried to pacify her with the
few words of Romany that I knew,
when her face changed and she
stood back and only then did I
realize how absurd it was that I
was threatened by the ghost of a
long dead gypsy brandishing a
saucepan, she went on to tell me
how tough life was back in those
days and the worry of finding food
for the children and how long and
hard the winters were and people
often did not make it through the
winter and roadside burials were
commonplace, and she only had
three of her children survive.
I was entranced that this dead
lady had appeared to me and was
telling me her life story , then i
lapsed back into a deep sleep and
was only disturbed by Petes return
and as he banged the snow from
his boots, i told him the story of
the old gypsy lady called Rose who
escaped a brutal and cruel husband
and bought the gypsy wagon
went hop picking and vegetable
gathering, and because she had
been treated so badly by men that
she was so suspicious of them and
did not like them in her old home,
Pete listened and corrected me and
said her name was Rosanna and she
did own the wagon and travelled in
Kent many years back working on
farms.
In the late 1900s and early part
of this century people were often
buried outside cemeteries and
indeed by the roadside and these
were called deviant burials without
any religious ceremony. and it was
said these souls could become
Redolent or Renegade souls, my
experience says that this is possible

knows what you want so take the time to listen by
meditating rather than praying meaningless words and

When you get in tuned with your divine self through
meditation it becomes easier and easier to make the
right choices when it comes to food. Instead of eating
mindlessly, you start to see that hamburger and fries
differently. You are paying attention to what you are
eating. You may choose then to order and hamburger
and salad instead of fries. Meditation puts you in the
present moment, so you can be mindful of your
choices and choose wisely.
