NOTE: If you are using Aliexpress, make sure to buy using the mobile app! For some
reason they give you pretty large discounts if you use it.
Total cost (minus supplies): Around $80 for clone, $110 for authentic
Additional instructions for this modification are here (sorry its kind of spread around). This
instructable has some more detail relating to firmware.

20AWG Wire (for 12V connection from external board to power supply) - You can most likely
scrounge this from something else.

Zip ties for wiring and for holding the hotend on the mount (just get lots, believe me)
Fuses and fuse holders (as backup in case you blow the one on the board)
Q-tips for cleaning molten plastic
Thermal compund (make sure this DOES NOT GO INTO THE HOTEND) It clogged mine pretty
badly :(
Piano wire or other 0.4mm dia wire (for cleaning hotend if it gets clogged)
Tools
Pliers to tighten the heatsinks onto the nozzle. Soft grip is nice.
M6x1 and M7x1 tap and die (if you got the clone nozzle and heat breaks)
Soldering iron
Heat gun (or lighter) for heat shrink tubing
Wire strippers (or teeth if you are man enough XD )
Heat resistant gloves (for tightening hotend while hot)

Custom Software
I wrote the following software to process G-code from any slicer in order to produce proper
retraction with the diamond hotend (all 3 extruders retract instead of just 1). This way you can
use any slicer, and still not get stringing. Previously this was only possible through firmware
retraction through Slic3r, which I found annoying to work with.
In addition, I made a gradient feature that fades one virtual extruder from one color to the next.

Firmware
I modified the Repetier firmware from TEVO here:
http://tevo3dprinterstore.com/pages/tevo-tarantula-firmware
I am working on creating a base version for people to start from. Heres the diamond hotend
page that I referenced:
http://reprap.org/wiki/Diamond_Hotend
You just need to edit the pins and the printer specific parameters like the size of the bed,
speeds, etc.
