Custom Software

I wrote the following software to process G-code from any slicer in order to produce proper
retraction with the diamond hotend (all 3 extruders retract instead of just 1). This way you can
use any slicer, and still not get stringing. Previously this was only possible through firmware
retraction through Slic3r, which I found annoying to work with.

In addition, I made a gradient feature that fades one virtual extruder from one color to the next.

Instructions for use:

1. Ensure retraction settings are 150mm/s and 15mm (this will be split into 50mm/s and
5mm for each extruder)
2. In your start g-code, make sure you have the commands for mixing ratios for each virtual
extruder (look up M163 and M164 on google)
3. Dont map extruder 15. This is used for retraction.
4. Slice your model with any slicer (can be a multicolor model)
5. Place exe file into folder with your g-code.
6. Run the exe file and choose if you want to apply a gradient to one of the extruders or not
7. When prompted, enter the filename of your g-code. For instance box.gcode.
8. Hit enter. The program will make a new g-code called output. This is what you will use
to print!
