“Dear Lord, I Can’t Take The Pain!”
Dear friend,
Everyone has had a life changing event in their life such as getting married, having
a baby, or getting a new job. My life changed when I thought my pain was going
to cripple me. Before I reveal to you more about this personal moment in my life,
let me give you some background about me. I’m the woman in the picture. My
name is Darla, a Registered ‘Cancer’ Nurse for thirty years. I currently work in a
major Ohio hospital.
Twelve years ago is when it all started. Back then, I was
working at a Dayton hospital when I developed severe
MIGRAINE and neck pains. It seems like I’ve tried every
doctor and specialist on the planet during the seven years I
lived the pain. I saw my family doctor, an orthopaedic
surgeon, a neurosurgeon, a rheumatologist, two regular
chiropractors, two physical therapists, massage therapist,
and my OBGYN. I underwent Two MRIs, two CT scans,
and had some blood tests done. I also took two prescription
muscle relaxants, but they didn’t help. By this time, I was
extremely frustrated. Nothing was working so I quit seeing
doctors entirely. To get by, I started taking 5 Ibuprofens
and 3 Excedrins three times a day for seven years. You do
the math. That equals thousands of pills. I didn’t want to
take all those pills, but I did what I had to just to make it
through each painful day. Unfortunately, that was only a
temporary solution. Over the next several years, the pain
continued to grow regardless of the amount of pain pills I
took. By the seventh year, the pain pills stopped working completely. It was
horrible. Some days I would cry over the sink because of the pain. The pain made
it hard to sleep and do housework. Eventually, the pain got so bad that during a
work break I went into my car, closed the door, rolled the windows up, and
screamed with tears in my eyes…DEAR LORD, I CAN’T TAKE THE PAIN!!!
I think someone heard my prayer. Within days, I saw an advertisement about a
different kind of doctor. This doctor, Dr. Jeffrey Reyes, did something truly different
for pain. His treatments did not involve drugs, surgery, physical therapy, needles,
cracking, twisting, or massage of any kind. Instead, he used multiple lasers on

SURGERY, foot pain, carpal tunnel syndromes, CHRONIC DIABETES, SINUS BLOCKAGE,
bursitis, tendonitis, osteoarthritis, jaw pain, and more could possibly be helped with his care.
Honestly, I wasn’t sure ‘PAINLESS’ QUAD-LASER ACUPUNCTURE would
work. But what else did I have to lose? I’ve tried everything else. And God
knows I was tired of hurting. So I went.
How did I feel after seeing Dr. Reyes? Amazed! When Dr. Reyes used

from seven year nightmare. I went back to easily working fourteen hour shifts at

With the elimination of the federal
estate tax in 2010, we have been get-
ting a lot of questions regarding what
people can do about the expiration of
the federal estate tax or if there is
something they should be doing this
year to take advantage of the situation.
Although it is true that Congress
let the estate tax expire, there are sev-
eral caveats to keep in mind.
First, the estate tax returns in 2011,
and under current law there will be
lower exemptions and higher tax

rates.
Second, assets inherited in 2010 may be subjected to capital
gains taxes. The tax basis will no longer be "stepped up" to fair mar-
ket value at the date of the decedent’s death. (However, there are
rules for exempting smaller estates from this tax treatment.)
Third, and most importantly, prominent Congressmen already
have promised to restore the estate tax in 2010 and to make it retroac-
tive to January 1, 2010. While there are questions on the validity of
making a tax that expired in 2009 retroactive, it still makes any action
that you might take something of a gamble.
If we knew for certain that federal transfer taxes wouldn’t be
changed in 2010, there would indeed be a number of useful steps that
you could take. The gift tax rate, 45% in 2009, dropped to 35% on
January 1. Next year the top gift tax rate zooms to 55%.
The generation-skipping transfer tax (GSTT), which applies to
major gifts and legacies to grandchildren, also is suspended in 2010.
It would be nice to lock in low gift tax rates and avoid the GSTT if
we could be confident of the tax treatment.
