Chemrite Slag
Additive For Durable, High Strength Concrete.
Description Chemrite Slag is a powerful eco-friendly concrete additive
derived from grand granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS). It
is a secondary cementitious ground granulated blast furnace
slag producer whose addition results in a stronger & more
durable concrete.
Chemrite Slag is suitable for:
Uses Marine & Harbour concrete
Corrosion resistant concrete in saline environment.
Prevention of alkali aggregate reaction
Low heat of hydration in mass concrete
Pumped concrete with reduced slump loss
Self-compacting concrete with no segregation or
bleeding
The presence of Chemrite Slag in concrete imparts greatly
improved internal cohesion and water retention. The
Advantages crystallising formation produces a significantly more dense
matrix, resulting in high strength, durable concrete. By
adding Chemrite Slag with high range water-reducing
superplasticizers, the concrete will show the following
improved properties.
- Excellent workability
- Increased durability
- High early strength
- Increased ultimate strength
- Increased resistance to abrasion
- Highly increased water tightness
- Prevention of reinforcement corrosion due to
reduced chloride diffusion.

Application

Dosage Range 30-70% by weight of cement. Chemrite Slag is compatible

with all types of cement. For optimum results in concrete,
field trials are recommended. Always use high-range water
reducing admixtures in conjunction with Chemrite Slag.
Mixing Chemrite Slag is added to the dry mix at the batching plant
before the gauging water, optimum mixing time: 90 seconds.
The water should be adjusted alongwith the superplasticise to
suit the dosage of Chemrite Slag for workability, set
retardation and strength requirements.
Important Chemrite Slag concrete coating should be handled and placed
in the same way as conventional mixes. Standard good
concreting practice should be observed throughout, and proper
curing procedures should be initiated after placement.
Safety

Toxicity Non-toxic
Transport Non-hazardous.
