Curriculum Map for Spanish 2

For World Language, the curriculum map is a list of themes that must be covered in the
span of a year. These themes are the same for Level 1, 2 and 3. The difference between each
level are the grammar concepts covered. At Highland High School, the World Language teachers
use the given textbooks as a guide to know what grammar concepts to teach (the textbooks are
called Realidades 1, Realidades 2, Realidades 3, for Spanish 1, 2, and 3 respectively). The
following Curriculum Map is for Spanish 2, provided by Salt Lake City Schools District (this is
what my site teacher, Carolyn, gave me as the map she and the other World Language teachers
were following at Highland High School).

*This is not a set Curriculum Map; it is a work in progress. Carolyn has mentioned that the
curriculum changed about two years ago and this is the second year that theyre trying to come
up with a set curriculum for the future.
*The themes are not in order, the language department at Highland High School is still trying to
figure out what would be the best order.
