Cardiac valve diseases are less common but can lead to disability

and death. These are the things I have learned when we are able to

identify the acute biologic crisis that may happen to a patient with

Valvular Heart Disease. As we have identified the emergencies,

sadness and sympathy filled my heart, for the reason that we have

discovered that patients may suffer death due to untreated underlying

disease. Therefore, I conclude that as nurses, we are accountable for

the welfare of our patients. This advocacy of nursing the family,

community and individuals emotionally, mentally and physically

should happen. Nurses play an integral role in the care of patients that

is why we are called the heart of healthcare.

If someday, Ill be able to handle a patient with this type of

disease, I would give my outmost care and patience. Lifestyle

modifications such as diet low in salt and fatty foods, daily exercise

passive and active ROM, and changing from sedentary to active

lifestyle by modifying patients tolerance to activities. Life is short and

it should be taken care of. Prayer will greatly help in restoring health

and wellness.
