VISUALLY INSPECT

1 INPUT CONDITION

Required condition

- Operator interface panel: push-button UNLOAD MACHINE pressed and released (green
light on).

- Wait for the machine to discharge completely.

- Operator interface panel: push-button MANUAL pressed and released (light on).

- Machine push-button panel: switch BRAKE BYPASS turn clockwise and released.

2 PROCEDURE (Figure 1)

1. Open hinged doors (2) and (5).

2. Check general conditions of machine frame.

3. Check inside cabin for preforms and/or rejected bottles in the stretching/blowing area.

4. Remove preforms and/or rejected bottles, where relevant.

5. Remove PET powder or dirt with a jet of compressed air. Then clean the mechanical
parts with a clean, lint-free cloth.

6. Close the hinged doors (2) and (5).

7. Open the sliding doors (10).

8. Check general conditions of machine frame.

9. Check inside cabin for preforms and/or rejected bottles in the stretching/blowing area.

10. Remove preforms and/or rejected bottles, where relevant.

11. Remove PET powder or dirt with a jet of compressed air. Then clean the mechanical
parts with a clean, lint-free cloth.

12. Close the sliding doors (10).

13. Open the window (1).

14. Check general conditions of machine frame.

15. Check inside cabin for preforms in the stretching/blowing area.


16. Remove preforms, where relevant.

17. Remove PET powder or dirt with a jet of compressed air. Then clean the mechanical
parts with a clean, lint-free cloth.

18. Close the window (1).

19. Remove the rejected preform trolley (3).

20. Empty the rejected preform trolley (3).

21. Check general conditions of machine frame.

22. Check inside cabin for preforms and/or rejected bottles in the drive area.

23. Remove preforms and/or rejected bottles, where relevant.

24. Remove PET powder or dirt with a jet of compressed air. Then clean the mechanical

parts with a clean, lint-free cloth.

25. Refit the rejected preform trolley in its original position (3).

3 FINAL OPERATION

1. Make sure the work area is clean and clear of objects.

2. Make sure that the cabin is closed.

3. Supervisor: ALARMS page, press (select) RESET ALARMS.

4. Operator interface panel: press and release AUTOMATIC (green light on).

5. Operator interface panel: press START CYCLE button for five seconds and release
when the machine starts turning after the acoustic warning (green light on).

2 PROCEDURE (Figure 1)

1. Open the windows (1).

2. Fit the handwheel (6) for manual operation in its housing.

3. Apply a piece of adhesive tape on the preform transfer wheel at the base of the torsion
spring support (3) indicating the lubrication starting point.

4. Operate on the support arm (2) to open the spring (4).

5. Apply a thin layer of M0019 grease with a paintbrush between the spring turns (4).

6. Turn the preform transfer wheel slowly (5) by means of the handwheel (6) to repeat
operations in points 4 and 5 on the other springs.

7. Remove the previously applied adhesive tape.

8. Repeat the operations in points from 3 to 7 for the bottle transfer wheel torsion springs
(3).

9. Close the windows (1).

3 FINAL OPERATION

1. Make sure the work area is clean and clear of objects.

2. Make sure that the cabin is closed.

3. Supervisor: ALARMS page, press (select) RESET ALARMS.

4. Operator interface panel: press and release AUTOMATIC (green light on).

5. Operator interface panel: press START CYCLE button for five seconds and release

2 PROCEDURE (Figure 1)

1. Open the window (1)

2. Remove the rejected preform trolley (2).

3. Remove the rejected preform chute (06-30-2003).

4. Arrange a suitably sized container under the oil drain cap (2). Keep the container in this
position.

5. Remove the oil filler cap (3).

6. Insert flexible tube in oil suction pump (A0001) in the oil filler cap (3) position.

7. Check that the end of the flexible tube touches the bottom of the geared motor.

8. Start the oil suction pump (A0001).


9. Wait for all the oil to drain out.

10. Remove the flexible tube.

NOTE
Dispose of hydraulic oil in accordance with the standards and di-
rectives in force in the country where the machine is used.

11. Fill with an amount of oil (M0026 or M0027) to ensure adequate cleaning of reservoir.

12. Repeat the operations from 5 to 9.

NOTE
Using M0027 oil will allow 25000 hours of work before the next
change.

13. Fill with oil (M0026 or M0027).

14. Fit the oil filler cap (4) in its original position.

15. Fit the rejected preform chute (06-30-2003).

16. Fit the rejected preform trolley (2).

17. Close the window (1).

3 FINAL OPERATION

1. Make sure the work area is clean and clear of objects.

2. Make sure that the cabin is closed.

3. Supervisor: ALARMS page, press (select) RESET ALARMS.

2 PROCEDURE (Figure 1)

Removal

1. Open the sliding door (1).

2. Loosen the bolt fastening the preform collection chute (2) to the machine frame by
means of the handle (3).

3. Operate the pin (4) and remove the preform collection chute by lifting it. Remove it
being careful not to knock the surrounding mechanical parts.

4. Arrange the preform collection chute on a flat surface or on the floor outside the cabin.

Refitting

WARNING
Be careful not to damage the machine mechanical parts while po-
sitioning the preform collection chute.

1. Lift the preform collection chute (2) and arrange it inside the cabin, centring with
respect to the fixed terminal (5) (drive side) and the machine frame fastening housing.

2. Operate the pin (4) and return it to its original position.

3. Tighten the bolt fastening the preform collection chute (2) to the machine frame by
means of the handle (3).

2 PROCEDURE (Figure 1)

1. Open the window (1)

2. Remove the rejected preform trolley (2).

3. Remove the rejected preform chute (06-30-2003).

4. Check that the oil level reaches approximately the middle line of the gauge (3).

5. Proceed as follows if the oil level is considerably under the middle line of the gauge (3):

6. Check for leakage. Call the closest service centre if leakage is found (oil stains on the
floor).

7. Remove the oil filler cap (4).

8. Fill with oil (M0026) or (M0027) until the oil levels reaches the middle line of the gauge
(3).

9. Fit the oil filler cap (4).

10. Fit the rejected preform collection chute (06-30-2003).

11. Fit the rejected preform trolley.

12. Close the window (1).

3 FINAL OPERATION

1. Make sure the work area is clean and clear of objects.

2. Make sure that the cabin is closed.

3. Supervisor: ALARMS page, press (select) RESET ALARMS.

2 PROCEDURE (Figure 1)

NOTE
Two people are required to carry out the following maintenance
operation: one person will operate the geared motor and the oth-
er will carry out the inspections.

1. Open the window (1)

2. Remove the rejected preform trolley(2).

3. Remove the rejected preform chute (06-30-2003).

4. Fit the handwheel (3) for manual operation in its housing.

5. Apply a piece of adhesive tape to indicate the visual inspection starting position on the
pulley (4).

6. Visually check that there is no play between the pulley tong (4) and the corresponding
drive belt tong (5), with a thickness gauge, if required.

7. Turn the pulley (4) slowly by means of the handwheel (3) and repeat the operation
described in point 5 on the other tongs of the pulley (4) and the drive belt (5).

8. Immediately report the presence of play between a pulley tong (4) and the correspond-
ing drive belt tong (5), if found. The intervention of maintenance personnel will be
required.

9. Remove the previously applied adhesive tape.

10. Fit the rejected preform chute (06-30-2003).

11. Fit the rejected preform trolley (2).

12. Close the window (1).

3 FINAL OPERATION

1. Make sure the work area is clean and clear of objects.

2. Make sure that the cabin is closed.

3. Supervisor: ALARMS page, press (select) RESET ALARMS.

4. Operator interface panel: press and release AUTOMATIC (green light on).

operation described in point 6 on the other teeth of the wheel (4).

8. Immediately report the presence of cracks, evident deformation or uneven wear. The
intervention of maintenance personnel will be required.

9. Remove the previously applied adhesive tape.

10. Fit the rejected preform chute (06-30-2003).

11. Fit the rejected preform trolley (2).

12. Close the window (1)

1 PROCEDURE (Figure 1)

1. Remove (loosen) the lubrication cartridge (2) from the manifold (3).

2. Clean the manifold (3) with a clean, lint-free cloth.

3. Remove the cap (5) from the new cartridge (6) (M0029).

WARNING
The activation key color (8) indicates how long the cartridge
charge will last. Check that the color of the new activation key (8)
corresponds to that of the key (4) used for the removed lubrication
cartridge (2).

4. Fit (fasten) the activation key (8) (M0030) in the housing (9) in the upper part of the new
cartridge (6) (M0029) to break the fastening ring (7).

5. Fit (fasten) the new cartridge (6) in the housing on the manifold (2).

2 PROCEDURE (Figure 1)

NOTE
Two people are required to carry out the following maintenance
operation: one person will operate the geared motor and the oth-
er will carry out the inspections.

1. Open the window (1)

2. Remove the rejected preform chute (06-30-2003).

3. Fit the handwheel (2) for manual operation in its housing.

4. Remove the screws (4) and the washers (3).

5. Remove the screws (6) and the washers (7).

6. Remove the guard (5).

7. Apply a piece of adhesive tape to indicate the visual inspection starting position on the
pulley (8).

8. Visually check that there is no play between the pulley tong (8) and the corresponding
drive belt tong (9), with a thickness gauge, if required.

9. Turn the pulley (8) slowly by means of the handwheel (2) and repeat the operation
described in point 8 on the other tongs of the pulley (8) and the drive belt (9).

10. Immediately report the presence of play between a pulley tong (8) and the correspond-
ing drive belt tong (9), if found. The intervention of maintenance personnel will be
required

11. Remove the previously applied adhesive tape.

12. Position the guard (5) in its original position and fasten it with screws (4) and (6) and
the respective washers.

13. Fit the rejected preform chute (06-30-2003).

14. Close the window (1).

3 FINAL OPERATION

1. Make sure the work area is clean and clear of objects.

2. Make sure that the cabin is closed.

3. Supervisor: ALARMS page, press (select) RESET ALARMS.

4. Operator interface panel: press and release AUTOMATIC (green light on).

2. Remove (loosen) the lubrication cartridge (1) from the manifold (2).

3. Clean the manifold (2) with a clean, lint-free cloth.

4. Remove the cap (3) from the new cartridge (4) (M0029).

WARNING
The activation key color (5) indicates how long the cartridge
charge will last. Check that the color of the new activation key (5)
corresponds to that of the key used for the removed lubrication
cartridge (1)

5. Fit (fasten) the activation key (5) (M0030) in the housing in the lower part of the new
cartridge (4) (M0029) to break the fastening ring (6).

6. Fit (fasten) the new cartridge (4) in the housing on the manifold (2).

7. Close the window (7).

3 FINAL OPERATION

1. Make sure the work area is clean and clear of objects.

2. Make sure that the cabin is closed.

3. Supervisor: ALARMS page, press (select) RESET ALARMS.

4. Operator interface panel: press and release AUTOMATIC (green light on).

5. Operator interface panel: press START CYCLE button for five seconds and release

1. Check whether the hand-held portable keyboard is connected to the respective con-
nector on the machine push-button panel.

2. Proceed as follows if the hand-held portable keyboard is not connected. If it is, go to


point 3:

- Machine push-button panel: turn PUSH-BUTTON BY-PASS switch clockwise and


keep in this position.

- Connect the hand-held portable push-button panel to the connector on the machine
push-button panel.

- Machine push-button panel: release PUSH-BUTTON BY-PASS switch.

3. Open the window (1).

4. Apply a thin layer of M0019 grease, using a paintbrush in points (2), (3) and (4) of the
pitch change cam (5).

5. Alternatively, M0021 lubricant can be used.

6. Close the window (1).

7. Hand-held push-button panel: control 18, button + hold pressed until the blowing wheel
turns a few times.

3 FINAL OPERATION

1. Make sure the work area is clean and clear of objects.

2. Make sure that the cabin is closed.

3. Supervisor: ALARMS page, press (select) RESET ALARMS.

from the hinged door.

6. Close the hinged doors (1).

9. Remove the preform collection chute (06-30-2003).

10. Repeat the operations in points from 2 to 4 on the other brakes (which cannot be
reached from the hinged doors).

11. Fit the preform collection chute (06-30-2003).

12. Fit the rejected preform trolley (6).

13. Close the window (5).

2 PROCEDURE (Figure 1)

1. Check general conditions of the following cabin parts:

- panels;

- hinged doors (2) and (5);

- fixed windows (7) and (11);

- opening window (1);

- upper tipping cover (8);

- sliding doors (10);

- rejected preform flap (3) and trolley (4);

- oven doors (6) and (9).

2. Check whether the hinged doors (2) and (5) open and close freely; check that an
appropriate open door warning appears whenever each door is opened.

3. Check whether the upper tipping cover (8) opens and closes freely.

4. Check whether the fixed windows (7) and (11) are solidly fastened to the cabin struc-
ture.

5. Check whether the window (1) opens and closes freely; check that an appropriate open
door warning appears whenever each door is opened.

6. Check whether the sliding doors (10) open and close freely; check that an appropriate
open door warning appears whenever each door is opened.
7. Check whether the rejected preform door (3) opens and closes freely; check that an
appropriate open door warning appears whenever each door is opened.

8. Remove and refit the rejected preform trolley (4). Check whether is moves freely.

9. Check whether the oven doors (6) and (9) open and close freely; check that an appro-
priate open door warning appears whenever each door is opened.

10. Clean the points required for visual inspections with a clean, lint-free cloth and cabin
exterior detergent, namely:

- hinged doors (2) and (5);

- sliding doors (10);

- fixed windows (7) and (11);

- window (1).

3 FINAL OPERATION

1. Make sure the work area is clean and clear of objects.

2. Make sure that the cabin is closed.

3. Supervisor: ALARMS page, press (select) RESET ALARMS.

4. Operator interface panel: press and release AUTOMATIC (green light on).

5. Operator interface panel: press START CYCLE button for five seconds and release
when the machine starts turning after the acoustic warning (green light on).

STRETCHING/BLOWING

VISUALLY INSPECT

1 INPUT CONDITION

Required condition

- Operator interface panel: push-button UNLOAD MACHINE pressed and released (green
light on).

- Wait for the machine to discharge completely.

- Operator interface panel: push-button MANUAL pressed and released (light on).

- Machine push-button panel: switch BRAKE BYPASS turn clockwise and released.

2 PROCEDURE (Figure 1)

1. Check whether the hand-held portable keyboard is connected to the respective con-
nector on the machine push-button panel.

2. Proceed as follows if the hand-held portable keyboard is not connected. If it is, go to


point 3:

- Machine push-button panel: turn PUSH-BUTTON BY-PASS switch clockwise and


keep in this position.

- Connect the hand-held portable push-button panel to the connector on the machine
push-button panel.Hand-held push-button panel

- Machine push-button panel: release PUSH-BUTTON BY-PASS switch.

3. Hand-held push-button panel: control 44, button + pressed and released.

NOTE
Control 44 is used to position press #1 at the mold change gate
(1) allowing a good view of the mold through the hinged door
fixed windows.

4. Check the blowing mold (2) for unblown preforms.

5. Proceed as follows if an unblown preform is found inside the mold. Otherwise, go to


point 6:

- Open the hinged door (1).

- Remove the unblown preform from the mold.

- Close the hinged door (1).

- Supervisor: ALARMS page, press (select) RESET ALARMS.


- Machine push-button panel: turn BRAKE BY-PASS switch clockwise and release.

6. Hand-held push-button panel: control 30, button + pressed and released.

7. Check whether the stretching rod moves straight and smoothly.

8. Hand-held push-button panel: control 30, button - pressed and released.

9. Hand-held push-button panel: control 32, button + pressed until the following press
reaches the mold change gate.

10. Repeat the operations from point 4 to 9 on the other presses.

2 PROCEDURE (Figure 1)

1. Check the noise level generated by the manual rotation shaft (1).

WARNING.
A high noise may be caused by insufficient shaft lubrication.

2. Proceed with maintenance operation 02-23-2007 if the level of noise generated by the
manual rotation shaft (1) is very high.

3. Operator interface control panel: UNLOAD MACHINE button pressed and released
(green light on).

4. Wait for the machine to fully unload.

5. Operator interface control panel: MANUAL button pressed and released (light on).

6. Machine push-button panel: BRAKE BY-PASS switch turned clockwise and released.

7. Place one hand on the plate (2) fastening the manual rotation shaft terminal part (1)
and check the temperature.

WARNING
High temperature of plate (2) may be caused by insufficient lubri-
cation of the shaft.

8. Proceed with maintenance operation 02-23-2007 if the plate (2) is very hot.

3 FINAL OPERATION

1. Make sure the work area is clean and clear of objects.

2. Make sure that the cabin is closed.

3. Supervisor: ALARMS page, press (select) RESET ALARMS.

4. Operator interface panel: press and release AUTOMATIC (green light on).

5. Operator interface panel: press START CYCLE button for five seconds and release
when the machine starts turning after the acoustic warning (green light on).

2. Remove the rejected preform trolley (2).

3. Open the opto-electronic system flap (3).

4. Clean the camera illuminator (4) with a clean, lint-free cloth and detergent (M0024).

5. Close the opto-electronic system flap (3).

6. Fit the reject preform trolley (2).

7. Close the window (1).

3 FINAL OPERATION

1. Make sure the work area is clean and clear of objects.

2. Make sure that the cabin is closed.

3. Supervisor: ALARMS page, press (select) RESET ALARMS.
