of how to use the 1. Log into the website using google email or click on this link
tool https://kidblog.org/class/tech-8am/posts (you will see the sample
project already done)

2. Upon logging in, you will go to class tech 8am

3. You will then click on New Post to form a new blog post around the
curricula

4. Students will be separated into groups and will then work together
to choose a header image and a title name for their blog post

5. The students will be able to choose their font color, style, and size.

6. The students will choose their background pattern (something eye-


catching!)

7. Each student from the group must then peer-review their blog
post before submitting it.

8. Finally, after the groups have reviewed their work, they will publish
their work into their secure portfolio, where it will be saved and
viewable.

the topic. The student should be able to explain and paraphrase the
content of their blogpost.

War II on the home front. By using cover page and title, the student will
explain the effects that World War II had on the American people.
Students will be able to categorize the effects of the war into categories
such as; home, military, and economic. The students will be able to
clearly cite all sources used to obtain the information within the
blogpost. The students should have a separate portion of the blog

dedicated to the hardships of Japanese Americans and American women
within this time frame. Students should use the tools within the system
to make this presentation informative and fun.

8. Click on the link in your email to set up your group.
9. log into quip using the button on the left side of the screen.
10. Once logged in, quip will take you through an instructional tutorial on
how to use quip.
11. After the tutorial quip will allow you to share documents and media.

Ideas for how the Science SOL 3.1- The students can use this website to track and graph

in PK-12 will then be able to share their conclusions with the rest of the class.
Math SOL 7.12- The students will be able to create and share tables and
graphs and explain the rules of each within the website example.
History SOL 2.7- Students will use the website to list and describe the
different natural resources, human resources, and capital resources.

7. Next create a page layout and a new web address. (web address
should end as .blogspot.com)
8. Share this web address with the rest of your group so they are able to
view your posts.
9. Once others are viewing your blog they will be able to edit and share
the same blog with their own additions.
Ideas for how the History SOL 2.11- The students will create a blog post about Americans

Health SOL 6.2- Students will be able to create a blog post and
demonstrate the effects of social media, family, and friends on personal
health and fitness. This will give the students an opportunity to add onto
and their classmates work.
Math SOL 4.10- The students will collaboratively create a blogpost
containing diagrams of the different shapes and lines within these
shapes. Underneath the photos, students will describe how many lines,
line segments, points, rays, and angles are within each shape.
