Curriculum Plan
Topic/Title of Lesson: Spider Web Fine Motor Activity Focused Domain: Fine
Motor
Learning Center: Choice Time Age of Children:3-5
Goal: Enhance their small motor muscles.

Objective: Children will demonstrate eye hand movement by


using clothes pins or tweezers.

Procedure: String the yarn back and forth through the holes of
the basket. Go in all different directions so that it looks like a
spider web. Add spider rings to the bottom of the basket. The
children then will pick up the spiders and placed them on the
table.

Advanced Preparation: N/A

List Materials: White Yarn, Ring spiders, tweezers or clothes


pins, a basket with holes.

Social
Future Plans: Cut out spiders and make the children count
them and glue them into a web.
Transition Plan: Listen to a song about spiders, or also talk
about how using our small muscles is good for them when
they eat.
