Data from titlewave collection analysis.
The media center has an open check out policy. Teachers can send
students in small groups throughout the day to check out books, do
research or participate in centers. The media center is located to the
end of the first grade wing and near the cafeteria.

The school has 3 computer labs (one located in the Media Center) and
a laptop cart (24 laptops). Currently PTA is undergoing fundraising to
add another laptop cart and a couple class sets of tablets to be shared
amongst the school. The computer labs have fixed schedules with
teachers assigned to specific time and day of the week. During
testing the computers are not available to students.

Students access MyOn, IStation, BrainPop, Axis 360, and Smartyants to

supplement the classroom curriculum.
Due to the age of the school the Media Center had to deal with leaks
and damaged books and damaged walls. This lead to a repaint and
repair of the Media Center; which included an updated mural.
The library has received a refresh of materials from the district.
To keep the collection current with the needs of the teachers and
students, yearly surveys are issued. Using those results we continue
to update and change where needed so we can continue to meet the
needs of the school.
The school has strong parental involvement with a great deal of that
focused on volunteering in the Media Center.
