Introduction to PRINCE2 Practitioner Exam

The different features of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam are as


follows:
The PRINCE2 Syllabus contains some learning objectives that
are only required at the Practitioner level.
The exam aims to enable the participant to exhibit a
comprehension of PRINCE2 and apply PRINCE2 methodologies
correctly to the scenarios provided.
The validity of PRINCE2 Registered Practitioner qualification is
of 5 years.
Re-registration is required within 35 years.

Structure of PRINCE2 Practitioner Exam

There are three booklets in the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam. The three booklets are as follows:

Contains a scenario involving an organisation, including its description, as well


Scenario Booklet as requirement and objective of a project. It can also contain additional
information for one or more questions.

Question Booklet It contains 6 questions about Themes and 2 questions about Processes.

Answer Booklet Contains answer sheets on which the participant needs to write the answers.

PRINCE2 PractitionerExam Pattern

The PRINCE2 Practitioner exam consists of five different types of questions within the paper.

Multiple Choice There are multiple options given for the question, of which, the participant will have to choose the
Questions correct one.
Multiple Response
Questions There are more than one correct answer for these type of questions.

Matching Questions The participant needs to match the content in column A with B.

Sequencing Questions The participant needs to sequence the events in the order they should appear in.

The participant needs to decide if the assertion as well as the reason given for the assertion is TRUE or

FALSE.

Question TypeMultiple Choice Questions

The multiple choice questions have a standard statement of choose one from a list of possible
options. Following is an example:

Q Answer the following question about the relationship between the Communication Management Strategy
and other PRINCE2 products and themes.
Which statement correctly describes the relationship between the Communication Management Strategy and the
Organization theme?

A A. The Communication Management Strategy is approved by the Project Manager.

Question TypeMultiple Response Questions

The multiple response questions have a standard statement of choose two correct options from a list
of 5 options. Following is an example:

Q Answer the following question about the use of configuration management. Remember to select 2 answers to each
question.
Verification and audit: Which 2 areas would be reviewed when doing a configuration audit?

A A. The entries in the Project Product Description are correctly specified.

Question TypeMatch the column questions

The matching questions have a standard statement of link items in one list to items in a second list.
Following is an example:

from Column 2 the product in which the statement should have been recorded. Each selection from Column 2 can
be used once, more than once or not at all.

The sequencing questions have a standard statement of link items in one list to items in a second
list. Following is an example:

assertion and a reason), to determine if either, both or neither is true and, if both are true, whether
the reason explains why the assertion is true. Following is an example:
