Chief Probation Officer/Intake Officer

Garland County Circuit Court, Division II (Juvenile) 607 Ouachita, Room 120, Hot Springs, AR

Supervise eighteen Probation Officers to ensure that all Court Orders, mental health
placements, mental health and drug and alcohol treatment services, and Conditions of
Supervision are followed for 600 to 1000 juveniles each year.
Directly supervise 50 - 80 juveniles with behavioral, mental health, and substance
abuse issues
Act as the Liaison between Court and Mental Health Treatment Centers.
Coordinate the Sexual Abuse Management Team and provide supervision for juvenile
sex offenders.
Represent the Court by providing community awareness and education to county
citizens, non-profit organizations and schools
Negotiate Contracts with Drug Testing and Electronic Monitor Venders
Develop and maintain Court Documents and Weekly/Monthly status reports
Maintain Garland County Court Building and all Juvenile Court vehicles
Mediate issues that need resolution outside of court
Research, write and implement new grants and programs for the court
Oversee and budget the Garland County Circuit Courts drug screening process
Negotiate drug screen costs between companies
Negotiate GPS and electronic monitor costs between companies and oversee the house
arrest program
