Question 1) what is the relationship between GMAT to the graduate GPA? Explain the
relationship using regression model?
Through regression model we compute G_GPA=-0.09+0.006* GMAT
Bo: -0.009
B1: 0.006
0.006 is known to be the slope and we can conclude that with the increase of one unit of Gmat
(independent variable) the change of 0.006 will incur to G_GPA (dependent variable).

Question2) Interpret R2, conduct F-test and t-test and interpret the s.
R is 0.61 which means that 61% of the variation in G_GPA can be explained with the linear
relationship between G_GPA and GMAT

H1: B10
Conducting F-test
F test value = 278.446
We see F table at .05 significance level which is 3.8415
Here we see F-test is greater than F-table, we then conclude that we reject the null hypothesis. F-
test provides the statistical indication to say that we have a substantial relationship between G-
GPA and GM
T-Test
T test value= 16.687
We see T table at 0.05 significance level that is 1.960
We here can conclude that T test is great then t table and thus we can surely reject the null
hypothesis which clearly indicates statistical evidence necessary to conclude that there is a
substantial relationship between G_GPA and GMAT.
Question 3: Should DR Islam recommend continued use of GMAT as admission criteria? If the
answer is yes, then what exercise should DBS do to ensure better student intake?
DR Islam should recommend of continued use of GMAT as admission criteria because we have
seen that the GMAT coefficient is statistically significant. To ensure better student intake DBS
should raise the GMAT score for the students who will apply for the MBA programme.
