The students will be creating a mind map

using the site/app Popplet. The site gives the
student a blank slate to create a mind map
on using different bubbles, which can be
created separately or attached. This will
allow the student to be more engaged with
the lesson through the use of technology.
The students are able to physically create

using the site/app Popplet. It is a free site or

free app for IPads, so it can be completed
on either computers or IPads depending on
what the school has available. Once the
activity is completed, the student can either
send me the completed activity or print it
out, as the site allows both.
Directions for Use
(Directions are for computer, as
I dont have IPad.)

1. Go the Popplet website on your
computers.
2. Click on try it out in the top right
corner.
3. Double click anywhere on the board
to create a new Popplet bubble.
4. I will now go over how to modify the
bubbles.
5. Now, create 5 separated Popplets,
and make the outlines a color of your
choice for these 5.
6. In the middle of these 5, type in the
provided root words.
7. Next, we will expand 4 lines out of
each center Popplet.
8. You will now title each one separately.
One each will be suffix, prefix,
antonym, and synonym.
9. Next, go through each Popplet and
provide examples for each one.
10.Finally, you will save and send the
Popplet to me, after this we will go
over them as a class.
