-Restructure of daily schedule is helping our instructional
challenges (more small groupings)
ELA: 3.RI.1 (demonstrate understanding of text with
questions/answers);
3.RI.2 (determine main idea; recount key details); 3.RI.7 (use info
gained from illustrations and words in text to demonstrate
understanding); 3.W.2a-d (write informative/explanatory texts to
examine a topic and convey ideas and information clearly)
MATH: 3.OA.C.7 (fluently multiply and divide within 100);
3.OA.D.8 (solve two-step word problems using the four
operations); 3.NBT.A.1 (Round whole numbers to the nearest 10
or 100)

Completed work, pre/post assessments, teacher observations
during independent work cycles, small group activities will all
help support learning outcome and providing student samples of
assignments and assessments will be consistently reviewed. CFA
will be Math Multiplication Facts assessment to be given bi-
weekly. Assessments for the next two months are Jan. 16 and 30;
Feb. 6 and 20.
Assessment was given this week (scores are in process of being
recorded).
Engage NY lessons still being implemented as sub assessments.
Reteach and continue to reteach to fill in gaps that our students
have in mastery.
Small groups will be adjusted accordingly using student samples,
learning styles,
and assessment data.
Tier 1 academic and behavioral supports such as language
support, tutoring, and one-on-one contact with teacher/TA will be
implemented.
Assessments will be used to drive instruction with scaffolding,
Lotta Lara, SQ3R, and real world problem solving strategies used,
in addition to critical thinking problems, higher order thinking
activities, and extensions from math and reading lessons
(Investigations, Engage NY, Scholastic News Magazines and
Harcourt Trofeos). Dictado is also being implemented into daily
instruction
Prepare for upcoming interventions, review data/assessments,
plan lessons using CORE standards and Dual Language strategies
for shared writing activities. Input data regarding MTSS
interventions with targeted students.
School City data, math multiplication assessments, student
binders with assignments; record keeping notes from tutoring
sessions and small group sessions.
Support needed None at this time, other than follow up with Ms. Gabaldon
(From Principal, District Personnel, regarding students who have been submitted for MTSS
Other) academic/behavior Tier 1 interventions.
