For First Division K Council Meeting

Introduction

I have been webmaster for Tawau Toastmasters Club (http://tmtawau.blogspot.com) ever

since I joined as a member in 1999. I have maintained the webpage since then. I have also
started the Area K2 website (http://51kk2.blogspot.com) when I was Area K2 Governor in
2006 and of course still maintaining it.

Therefore starting on the Division K website (http://tmdvk.blogspot.com) is like a

continuation. When I was requested by Division Governor Datin Grace Chiu, I gladly
accepted.

However to ensure the webpage serves and benefits Division K well, I would need valuable
inputs, suggestions and ideas from the big family of Division K.

Objectives

The creation of Division K website is meant to maintain a centralize resource center of

reference for all Toastmasters especially members of Division K. It is also aimed to make
corresponding and communication among council members, club officers, members and the
public simpler.

It also serves as an official publicity tool for Division K where all information published could
be searched with ease with the help of various Search machines like Google, Yahoo and
Bing.

thus helps attract more members and interested individuals who believe in Toastmasters.

For First Division K Council Meeting

Introduction

I am thankful to Division K Governor Datin Grace Chiu, ACS, ALB and her team for giving
me the confident and opportunity to serve as the Assistant Division Governor Education and
Training. I hope my previous experience in Toastmasters could contribute positively to the
growth of Division K especially after being grouped under the new District 87.

However, accepting the fact that Division K covers a very wide area geographically with
Sabah, Labuan and Brunei, the work ahead is going to be very challenging. I therefore
humbly seek the cooperation of all work communicate more through emails and telephone
calls while we are not meeting in persons.

Education Achievements

Please refer detail table attached. Club placement has been adjusted to follow the new
alignment.

Training

The first Division K Toastmasters Training Institute (TLI 1) is held on 18th July 2010
conducted by District 87 TLI team.

The TLI Round 2 is schedule to be in 2011 in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Speech Contests

Club level Evaluation and Humorous Speech Contests are expected to start soon after this.
The Area Level contests will follow suit while the Division Level contests will be held on 10th
October 2010 in Tawau in conjunction with the Division K 15th Semi-Annual Convention.

The Division winners will compete at the District Level in Jakarta on 28th November 2010
during the 1st District 87 Semi-Annual Convention.

With both Division and District level contests dates set, Areas and Clubs are advised to plan
ahead for both club and area level contests.
