2. Public Announcement/Channel Marketing:

The CMM5 (Cluster Management Module) is the latest generation of solutions for the distribution of TDD Sync signals and Power over Ethernet to access points in the
Cambium Networks portfolio. The CMM5 is a modular design with individual 4-port power injectors and an optional controller used for remote management. Key
capabilities include:

Support for Gigabit Ethernet (1000BaseT)

Modular and scalable from 4 ports to 32 ports
Direct +/- 48VDC input (optional AC/DC power supplies are available from Cambium Networks)
Uses Cambium Networks uGPS for synchronization source
Dual resilient power inputs
Rack-mountable
Secure remote management when used with the optional CMM5 Controller Module
Support for PMP 450m (cnMedusa)
Future support for integration into cnMaestro for cloud or NOC-based management

4. FAQ:

Q. Which CMM is compatible with PMP 450m (cnMedusa)?

A. Only the CMM5 is compatible with the PMP 450m due to the support for 1000BaseT (Gigabit Ethernet) and the higher power requirements of cnMedusa.
Q. What are the key differences between the CMM5 and the CMM4?
A. 1. The CMM5 is a modular system sold as multiple 4-port injectors and an optional controller. There is a 29V 4-port injector and a 56V 4-port injector. Up to 8
injectors can be daisy-chained together to allow up to 32 total ports.
2. The CMM5 supports 1000BaseT interfaces.

 3. The CMM5 uses a new physical layer synchronization technique that is compatible with 1000BaseT.
4. The CMM5 controller is an optional module used to provide remote management such as HTTP and SNMP as well as future support in cnMaestro.
5. The CMM5 accepts +/-48VDC input directly which in some cases eliminates the need for an external AC/DC power supply in those cases where the deployment
location has 48VDC available.

Q. What source for GPS timing is used for the TDD sync feature of CMM5?
A. The CMM5 uses the Cambium Networks uGPS (model # 1096H) to receive a GPS signal and provide 1PPS input to the CMM5 for TDD timing.
Q. What is the form factor of the CMM5?
A. The CMM5 is modular. The 56V injector is rack-mountable in a 2U space (half-width). The controller is rack-mountable in a 1U space (half-width). The controller
and a single injector can be combined and mounted in the rack as a single unit. Two injectors of the same voltage level can be combined and mounted side-by-
side in a rack. The CMM5 does not contain an Ethernet switch. The CMM5 is not available in an all-outdoor unit.
Q. When will the 29V injector be available?
A. This announcement is for the 56V injector, the CMM5 controller, and accessories. The 29V notice will be published later this month with shipments of the 29V
injector expected in November.
Q. How does this impact availability of the CMM4?
A. The CMM4 continues to be available although the expectation is that customers will migrate to the CMM5 over time due to the support for Gigabit Ethernet.
