BASIC COURSE ON PETROLEUM RESERVOIR SIMULATION.

In this course, we will be presenting the fundamentals of reservoir simulation from

which more advanced simulation concepts will be built on for the future
This course will emphasize a hands-on approach to reservoir simulation as the best
way to learn how to ride a bicycle is to get on one and start riding. Moreover,
reservoir simulation should be approached from a practical standpoint. This is
because it is a practice-oriented aspect of petroleum engineering.
The basic software required will not be an extensive use of coding language at this
point but a good familiarity with excel as most of the basic analyses tasks can be
accomplished using excel. I will offer a series of assignments and by working
through it together we will develop the ability to correctly analyze a practical
situation.
