The challenges for students in my community to receive a quality education,

more towards providing quality learning materials and better classroom learning
environment. SMK Takis is a government funded school, so mostly learning
materials or classroom provided are standardised. If a teacher wants to do more,
either they work to get funded by others or funded from their own salary. As I
experienced, I wish to have more English reading materials in school; so I came
up with paperwork on Reading Relay Program and worked with my other English
Panel teachers to get funded and we were lucky to get one. Currently, students
have access to better English reading materials and managed to promote
reading interest as well.
