About Me

My name is Mike Masso. My goal for the next 4 years is to graduate Grossmont Middle College High School.
After high school I should have enough college credits to already be a year done with college so I hope to
entering UCLA, SDSU, or University of Redlands. Regardless of what university I choose to go to. I want to
pursue a career in filmmaking; to be one of the people involved in creating the magic behind film. I grew an
interest in this because throughout my life I have loved movies. Whether it is marveling at the practical
effects in Jurassic Park when I was 3 years old, gazing at the lightsabers in Star War in elementary school, or
studying the fighting choreography in Captain America The Winter Soldier now. I want to learn how to give
that jaw dropping experience with movies that I had growing up and still do now.

I started training in the art of karate ever since I was 5 years old. From than on my skills in fighting, discipline, and leadership. I am
currently a Second Degree Black Belt.

Interests and Community

For my current internship I work as the tech-assistant at my church. Dealing with sound, lights, and the projector for the worship
band.
One of my interest is to create costumes/props for conventions.This leads to meeting celebrities like Stan Lee, Daniel Radcliffe,
Adam Savage, and even ending up of LA Times and IGN.
In order to bring my costumes to their full potential I am keeping myself in shape with careful diet and exercise (especially when
wearing spandex)

Throughout high school I have received my fair share of honor role certificates, and perfect attendance. However, the day I achieved
my Black Belt I was also promoted to Sempai Rank because of my commitment and leadership to teaching karate classes.
