1.1.1 How to move through the Values/Parameters of the 3 Digits Display

All Values and Parameters are listed up just one after the other. To jump the next parameter, simply the down
button has to be pressed.

The name of the first parameter ( is not a real parameter, but only an example)
will be displayed for one second, while the value itself will be displayed for two
seconds (alternating) (this position is also considered as the Home.
65 Up and down push-buttons
The name of the second parameter ( is not a real parameter, but only an
example) will be displayed for one second, while the value itself will be displayed
for two seconds (alternating).
65 Up and down push buttons to reach the other parameters.

1.1.2 How to enter the Password (PIN)

Without password or by entering the wrong password, read only access is given, without the possibility to change
values.
To enter a password into the 3 Digits Display, select the Pin parameter by pressing the down push-button as often
as necessary. When pressing Enter (mode), a 0 will be displayed as first digit on the left and will be followed by
two dashes (a password is made of 3 digits). Change the numeric value by pressing the up or down push buttons.
After having obtained the required numeric value, press Enter (mode) to go to the following digit. Pressing Enter
(mode) after having selected the last password digit, the parameter (Pin) name will be displayed again. If the
correct Password is entered, the desired modifications can be made. Reaching the next changeable Parameter, the 3
Digits Display will show a SET string, which is the confirmation, that the PIN was entered correctly.

Level 0 (no password) Read only

Level 1 User Level

The password is valid until the first parameter / value (Home) of the list is displayed again. Never leave
the Unit without jumping back to home (pressing Enter and UP together).

1.1.3 How to change Parameters

To change the value of a parameter (possible only when the Password PIN has been correctly inserted), scroll the list
using the up and down push-buttons until the desired parameter is displayed and press Enter (mode). By
pressing the up and down push buttons, it is possible to change the corresponding value; after having obtained the
required value, press enter (mode) again. The display will show again the name of the parameter alternating with
the new value.

1.1.4 How to reset Alarms or Warnings

When an alarm is triggered, the red alarm LED is lit on the 3 Digits Display Module and the corresponding symbol is
shown in the Display.
The Alarm section can be reached by pressing the up push-button when the first parameter is on the display; alarms
are pointed out according to their code order.
After having entered the alarm section, the alarm code is displayed and every second the code is replaced by the
coded description.
Pressing the Enter key (mode), when an alarm code is displayed on the LCD, all the active alarms will be reset. After
the reset operation, all the still active alarms will be shown again. If there are no more active alarms, the first
parameter / value of the list will be displayed again.

1.1.5 StandBy button and remote switch

User can put the unit in stand-by once pressed the StdBy button for more than 2 seconds. The unit can be restored
into the ON status when the StdBy button has pressed once. Note that remote switch overrides the button StdBy
functions when it is in OFF mode i.e. when the remote switch is on OFF status the StdBy button is disabled.

1.1.6 Tricks
Pressing the Enter-button (mode) together with the Down button jumps to the last parameter in the list. Pressing
the Enter-button (mode) together with the Up button jumps to the first parameter (home) in the list.

1.1.7 The 3 Digits Display Parameters

See chapter 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 how to move through the Menu and how to enter the Password.
The order of the following table is according the menu-layout of the LCD.

# Parameter Name Description permission

1 RETURN TEMP. The temperature of the air entering the air conditioning unit. Depending on how read
the unit is configured (devices and sensors installed), this temperature is measured
by a Humitemp / THB or by a PTC / NTC sensor installed inside the unit in the
return air flow path. For sensor installation please refer to the electrical diagrams
of the unit. This temperature is used by iCOM, together with Room Temperature
Setpoint, Temp. Proportional Band and Temp. Integration Factor to decide the
cooling / heating status of the unit.
2 RETURN HUMIDITY The humidity of the air entering the air conditioning unit. The humidity is measured read
by a Humitemp / THB installed inside the unit in the return air flow path. For sensor
installation please refer to the electrical diagrams of the unit. This humidity is used
by iCOM, together with Room Humidity Setpoint, Humidity Proportional Band and
Humidity Integration Factor to decide the humidification/dehumidification status
of the unit.
3 SUPPLY TEMP. It is the temperature of the air delivery of the unit. Available only when the read
corresponding sensor is installed. This value could influence the control, if Supply
Limit is set.
4 OUTDOOR TEMP. The temperature of the environment outside the room. It is used, together with read
the Return Air Temperature, to decide the Freecooling status of the unit. If multiple
units are connected via LAN each unit will work with the average of the values read
by all sensors. The value displayed here is this average.
5 GLYCOL TEMP. The temperature of the refrigerant mixture (water or glycol and water) entering read
the unit. In Freecooling or Dual Fluid units, depending on the value set in DT Room-
Glycol, it is only displayed or used to decide the Freecooling Status of the unit. In
Freecooling units it also drives the analogue output for the Dry-Cooler. Each unit
uses its own sensor for control.
6 FREECOOLING STATUS Shows the current FC Status (Start, On or Off) read

7 ACTUAL This Value shows the actual Temperature Setpoint for the specific unit. read
TEMPERATURE
SETPOINT
8 ACTUAL HUMIDITY This Value shows the actual Humidity Setpoint for the specific unit. The Humidity read
SETPOINT Setpoint can be automatically influenced from the Humidity Compensation
Parameter.
9 Sensor A The temperature measured by the optional Sensor A (EEAP Sensor). This sensor read
TEMPERATURE allows setting second step temperature warning.
10 Sensor A HUMIDITY The humidity measured by the optional Sensor A (EEAP Sensor). This sensor allows read
setting second step humidity warning.
11 Sensor B The temperature measured by the optional Sensor B (Hirosensor 1). This value is read
TEMPERATURE not used for regulation or alarms / warnings.
12 Sensor B HUMIDITY The temperature or humidity measured by the optional Sensor B (Hirosensor 1). read
This value is not used for regulation or alarms / warnings.
13 Sensor C The temperature measured by the optional Sensor C (Hirosensor 2). This value is read
TEMPERATURE not used for regulation or alarms / warnings.
14 Sensor C HUMIDITY The temperature or humidity measured by the optional Sensor C (Hirosensor 2). read
This value is not used for regulation or alarms / warnings.
15 DRAIN DRAIN' (Humidifier) can be set to ON without setting MANUAL to ON, and without write
to enter a password before. DRAIN stops automatically after 20 seconds.
16 PASSWORD Please ask your local dealer for the Password. write

17 NUMBER OF UNITS The number of air conditioning units connected together in the LAN. The user must read
set it properly depending on the actual network configuration. All the units in the
network must have different addresses (starting from 1).
18 TEAMWORK MODE Possible settings: NO, 1, 2. write
NO: The units work in stand-alone, using their own sensors for regulation. This
setting must be used in multi-room installations. Set to 1 if the units shall operate
as one system. For control the average T+H of all units in operation is used. All units
together are working like one big unit. Not to be set in multi-zone rooms.
Set to 2 if the units shall operate in stand-alone, but with restrictions from the
average T+H. The averages decide, if cooling or heating, hum or dehum has to be
performed, the units itself decide about according their own sensors. Teamwork
setting 2 is a stand-alone mode operation, but 'mastered' from the average T+H, to
avoid competition between the units. To be set in multi-zone or unbalanced rooms.
19 AUTORESTART enable If disabled [No] the unit will not automatically restart after a power cycle. write

20 AUTORESTART The time delay, in seconds, between the power on and the start of the unit. NOTE: write
Each unit multiplies the time with its U2U Number.
21 Display ON/OFF To accept the ON/OFF command from a connected display. write
ENABLED

22 TEMP. SETPOINT The temperature of the air desired in the room. It is the reference value used by write
iCOM, together with Return Air Temperature, Temp. Proportional Band and Temp.
Integration Factor to decide the cooling or heating status.
23 HUMIDITY SETPOINT The humidity of the air desired in the room. It is the reference value used by iCOM, write
together with Return Air Humidity, Humidity Proportional Band and Humidity
Integration Factor to decide the hum or Dehum status.
24 SUPPLY SENSOR Disabled (): The supply sensor has no meaning. write
Limit (): Provides a low limit for the supply air temperature. iCOM will try to keep
the supply air temperature always higher than the setpoint. If this parameter is
enabled a supply air temperature sensor must be installed inside the unit (or near
it) in the supply air flow path. To decide the cooling status, iCOM uses the lower
between a) the deviation of return air temperature from its setpoint and b) the
deviation of the supply temperature setpoint.
Note: Supply limit will reduce the cooling request for dampers or valves, but will
never stop a compressor if the supply temperature is too low - but eventually a
second compressor will not be allowed to start if the supply temperature is already
too low when one compressor is in operation.
Control (): All temperature activities which usually are managed by the return
air deviation will be swapped to the supply air deviation. Also the fanspeed (if set
to modulating mode) depends on the supply air temperature.
Note: Control cannot be set on units with compressor(s).
Temp Only (): All temperature activities which usually are managed by the
return air deviation will be swapped to the supply air deviation. Only the fanspeed
(if set to modulating mode) depends on the return air temperature.
Note: Temp Only cannot be set on units with compressor(s).
25 SUPPLY SETPOINT Is the setpoint for the function set in the previous parameter: write

26 TEMP. SETPOINT 2 A second Setpoint value for the air temperature of the room. It is used when at write
least one User Input is set as 2nd SETP (Second Setpoint) and the switch on the
corresponding input of iCOM is open.
27 NUMBER OF STDBY Standby units normally are halted and will start only in case of an alarm of another write
UNITS unit in the network. This parameter defines how many units will be in standby
mode.
28 ROTATION Possible settings are: NO or YES. write
FREQUENCY NO means no rotation by time, only in case of an alarm the faulty unit will be
switched off and the standby unit will be started. If set to YES, rotation will be done
every 24 hours, counted from the last power on of unit #1.
29 ENABLE CASCADE Setting this parameter will start the standby unit(s) not only in case of an alarm on write
an active unit, but also in case of increasing and/or decreasing of temperature
and/or humidity to assist the active unit(s).
NOTE: Cascade settings force Teamwork 1!
Possible Settings:
: cascade function not active
: active with both temperature(cooling/heating) and humidity
(humidification/de-humidification)
: active only for temperature (cooling/heating)
: active only for cooling
30 ENABLE / DISABLE If set to YES: HT, LT, HH and LH will perform as described below. write
STD. SENSOR EVENTS If set to NO: HT, LT, HH and LH are disabled, no such event will be announced.
31 HIGH TEMPERATURE This warning is generated from the standard return sensor of the unit, if the write
temperature rises above this threshold. The warning is delayed for a time of 1
minute after unit start.
32 LOW TEMPERATURE This warning is generated from the standard return sensor of the unit, if the write
temperature falls below this threshold. The warning is delayed for a time of 1
minute after unit start.
33 HIGH HUMIDITY This warning is generated from the standard return sensor of the unit, if the write
humidity rises above this threshold. The warning is delayed for a time of 1 minute
after unit start.
34 LOW HUMIDITY This warning is generated from the standard return sensor of the unit, if the write
humidity falls below this threshold. The warning is delayed for a time of 1 minute
after unit start.
35 ENABLE / DISABLE If set to YES: HTA, LTA, HHA and LHA will perform as described below. write
EEAP / SENSOR A If set to NO: HTA, LTA, HHA and LHA are disabled, no such event will be announced.
EVENTS
36 HIGH TEMPERATURE This warning is generated from the optional Sensor A (EEAP), if the temperature write
Sensor A rises above this threshold. The warning is delayed for a time of 1 minute after unit
start.
