Goals and Objectives for STARS

Goal 1: To utilize the key components of recreation program planning for

developing leadership programs for adolescents with disabilities.

I will weekly assess the programs I am apart of and

I will gain an insight of our clients needs and learning

Objective 2:
styles and create a handbook for learning the key

Goal 2: To understand the relationship between adaptive sports

programming and the leisure ability model and client outcomes.

I will spend 3 days a week working with adaptive sports

behind each item.
I will apply LAM to programming with adaptive sports

Goal 3: To demonstrate the ability to use existing resources to create a

junior mentor/leadership handbook and curriculum.

I will take the handbooks and previous notes by STARS

and pair them with a curriculum base set for successful
learning and comprehension.
Objective 2:
I will complete a full binder of curriculum, slides, and a
handbook by June 27th.

Goal 4: To prepare and present appropriate materials in preparation for the

12th Annual Steamboat Wine Fest.

I will organize a volunteer sign up by July 1, and have

volunteer stations planned and set up for the event.

I will provide a slideshow/ presentation about STARS for

members of the community to bring insight to the use
of funds collected from the event.
Goal 5:
To better my abilities and performance in therapeutic
recreation/adaptive sports by providing optimal leisure
experiences.
